Bought a size up and it works great for my 4 year old, and it has room to grow. Used in 14°F and kiddo stayed warm with a regular layer underneath. Ankle cuffs also stretched well over rain and snow boots.

These fit pretty close to true to size- we bought a size up to allow for growth and extra layers.They’re thick and well insulated, yet comfortable enough to wear all day and run and play.

I thought this was great. One suit so no big jacket is required. My 6 year is on the smaller side as far as weight. It was a little large but left room for clothes underneath and will probably fit him for another year or two. He weighs around 40 lbs.
