It contains a magnetic drain plug with brass washer, windage screens along with crankshaft scrapers remove excess oil from the crankshaft and reduces air bubbles in the engine oil to improve lubricating properties.

had to cut and tig an oil pan in a 396 for maximum clearance to the frame crossmember. needed the tightest fit oil pickup I could find, and this did the job. doesnt go much more forward than the oil pump itself. Definitely recommend when you need a compact sump in your oil pan.
