The material the bushing is made from is way too soft. I could push it in with my fingers. And it would fall out immediately and would not stay connected to the link of the transmission arm. I could not use it.

I messed up the first one trying a clamp method that I saw on YouTube. I later watched the video from the manufacturer using hot water to make the bushing more pliable and it worked great. It's unfortunate that a simple nylon bushing is the determining factor of whether or not you can get to work but I'm glad I didn't have to replace the entire cable assembly to get back on the road.

Follow the instructions and it just works. Been on two of .you rigs for over 6 months no issue.

My ram truck transmission selector was always off. It wouldn’t go into park. It was in park but the selector wasn’t showing in park. You can’t lock the doors or set the alarm when it does that.Then it would be okay. The entire problem was this bushing was completely gone at the transmission end of the cable. Problem solved!

These come 2 in a package and I tried both. Very difficult to install and then when in would barely hold the cable. I watched installs using a Dorman grommet so I purchased one and that one went in easily. It also would click onto the shifter arm like it's supposed to, to unlike these which slid right on and could be pulled off with very little effort.

It fit perfectly on a 2012 Chevy Cruze. The linkage is tight and works well
