These are excellent quality craft/artist brushes...especially for the price! They feel like natural bristle brushes but as listed, they are synthetic, which is surprising. I've been painting in oil and watercolours since I was 12 years old...I know my brushes! While these may not be for fine watercolor paintings, like a kolinsky brush, but these are very nice. I don't know if they'd hold up to the chemicals and solvents associated with oil painting but for a craft bush...these are excellent! No bristles lost and produced nice smooth strokes in using at craft level acrylic paints. The important thing to know is you need to the proper brush for the type of medium you're using and art work you're doing...you must know how to clean them properly and gently. No brush will hold up to harsh chemicals, rough painting techniques or cleaning methods or neglect.I definitely would recommend these for basic watercolor/acrylic paint and art projects; but they're not designed for oil painting or vigorous art works...They feel soft, have a very natural bristle feel and delicate. Die Fasern des Pinsels sind für Acrylfarben nicht gut geeignet. Sie sind zu zart und halten die Farbe nicht gut. Mehr für Aquarellfarben geeignet.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting these brushes to be so good because of the price.I have paid a lot more for brushes which aren't as good.I find I am using them more and more, as they are so useful for delicate work and they give a smooth finish.

Bristles are much longer than photo made them appear...a slight negative for me as I prefer shorter ones. Size 24 ferrule was loose from handle but fixed with glue; and lost about 10 hairs rinsing off the glue that had kept it safe during shipping. Fortunately the shedding stopped. Brushes are soft but still have a nice snap (larger brushes have a little less snap). Brushes have a nice point and the weight and feel is nice and comfortable in your hand. Brushes should be shaped before putting them up to dry (not mentioned in the instructions, but it should have been). I recommend the set, especially if you want the larger brushes as they can be very expensive in some places on their own.

good buy and pretty good quality. I paint with a lot of children and they need descent brushes just like all artist so they have been well used and have been helpful.

I'm a watercolor artist and I wanted a set of synthetic cruelty free brushes that would mimic the design and quality of a Kolinsky Sable brush but without the animal cruelty. I ordered these without much expectation, because of the low price, I figured they wouldn't be very good, but thought it was worth a try. Well known brands of brushes like these tend to be very pricey, Upwards of $10 for one brush, while an authentic kolinsky sable made with animal fur, which I don't support the use of, is even more expensive for one brush. With this product, I got the whole set for under $20 and they are AWESOME!!! Great snap, soft and flexible, the points on the brushes are pristine and make nice fine lines, they hold water and pigment very well and the hairs do not break or shed which often happens with cheap brushes. I will be buying these for life! I'm a very happy customer.
