This item is completely made of hard plastic. It’s almost impossible to open and is very uncomfortable. I returned it.

The is a pretty shade of dark blue, and fairly straightforward to put together/use, so the lack of instructions isn't any issue, however I will say the quality is not great - it is reasonable for something that isn't going to be used often and can have some gaps where the plastic meets, but it could be better. Also, you will have to put a little work in to get the handles in place properly and get them to stay if you want to use those, and to "pop" the bottom into place so it will stay. The size and height is reasonably comfortable to me when using it as a foot stool, and it could easily be used to carry a small crochet project or two and and a book, or something along those lines onto a plane, train or bus. Overall I would say for what it is it is fine, but in no way exceptional.

I wasn’t sure how to unfold the stool at first. The stool doesn’t come with instructions but I figured it out. It is a little difficult to get it popped open at first. I am not so sure about the handles that come with it, they don’t really stay in place. The best thing is how flat this stool gets.

This this little stool works great in a plane, it’s nice to have something to put your feet on whenever you’re sitting for 6+ hours. I’ve used the little hammock thing before and it’s just not as comfortable. This is so much more sturdy and very easy to use. If it’s in my purse because it is so thin and while it is very thick plastic after a few times of opening and then closing it, it does get a little easier to open. For my legs the height is about perfect. I like that unlike other things I’ve used in the past this morning does not need to go onto the seat in front of you. They just use this for our flight that was about six hours and I used the whole entire time. I didn’t get in the way at all luckily, we had a walk to ourselves my daughter, and I, it definitely made the fight a lot more bearable. I would definitely recommend this if you fly a lot.

It was hard to setup the first time because O was worried I would tear the plastic creases which would instantly reduce the lifespan of this item, but I found it to be more durable than I expected. I also found it comfortable to use as a foot rest, but I can tell that this definitely would be uncomfortable for others who will find the hard plastic to be “painful” but that is easily alleviated by wearing long pants or use a pillow or blanket. The images show people sitting on it and I would agree that a lighter person 150 or less, probably would be able to sit comfortably on this, but heavier and wider people, I fear, will be uncomfortable and the item would break. Thats an opinion and not tested. But as an airplane footrest, I would say this is a great option!

Insanely difficult to pop into shape - you will want to put this thing together with safety mitts and sturdy shoes about six or more times before taking it anywhere. Once you've broken it in, it pops out okay. If you find this comfortable to sit on, you likely are the same person comfortable sitting on the ground lol. It Does work as a Very low footstool - but barely 7 inches tall where your feet rest (someone noted the height of a squatty potty so for that use it would work). The little plastic handles will be hard not to lose, the only benefit I see to that configuration would be trying to convince someplace this was a bag and not a seat when you carried it in.

I want to start by saying I was excited to try this product out and had high hopes for it, so not sure if my high expectation made it seem that much more disappointing >This item does not come with instructions so make sure to check the product description online for proper usage. The initial pop up was VERY difficult. I thought I had a defective item lol It took a lot of force to kind of hold open the sides and get the top pushed down. I even tried pushing down on the floor to get it flattened while I was trying to hold the edges out. I ended up scraping the skin off the inside of one of my wrists -- it was just superficial, but it should not have required that much effort to open. I will say it does seem durable in that regard (since the plastic is quite thick), so it might last a while. It's basically a scored thick piece of plastic with a few rivets that you fold like origami. As a foot rest, its ok. You could probably also use it as one of those squatty-potty things too. It's a decent height for me (5'4") as a footrest at my work desk. It is also lightweight, but that's about all it has going for it. Got it to take with me between my home and office desks since it supposedly lays flat and is portable. I had it opened for a day and when I tried to close it, it does not close all the way. It is not as flush as when it came out of the package. The only thing I was relatively impressed by was the fact that I was able to sit on it and put all my body weight on it and it did not collapse. Infact it felt very sturdy and I was not worried that it would give under my 185lbs even if I sat on it for a prolonged amount of time. But that would not happen becasue it's too uncomfortable to sit on for a long time. The seat itself is fine, but the edges were digging in to the back of my legs, even when i had them outstretched. I don't have large thighs, but even if you had skinnier legs than mine, it would still dig in.Idk if I'd want to use something I rest my feet on as a bag, but apparently that's an option. So had to test it out: You can put quite a bit in it as a bag and actually holds quite a bit of weight (cans, jars, produce) without popping the bottom out causing it to collapse. However it's not very comfortable to hold and would not be a realistic option to use it as a bag in my opinion. You could, but idk when I'd ever opt to use it as a bag. The weight from the bag contents cause the thin plastic straps to dig into your fingers so you wouldn't be comfortable holding it for long. And they are not long enough to use comfortably as an arm bag either so the only option you would have it to hold it in your hand. Also, the little plastic straps it comes with as handles have no place for storage so you better make sure you don't lose them or you won't be able to use it as a bag even if you want to.Item was listed at $10 at time of purchase, but I would not pay that amount again or even recommend it to others for that matter. I suppose I would if it were half the price it'd seem reasonable, but at that point, I would end up forcing myself to use it just becasue I had it, so again, not something I would recommend. Better off using a cardboard box and paper bag to replace the functions of this footrest. Idk if I would've been more lenient on the rating if they just never said it was also a bag, but basing my rating off the intended product use, and the bag function is part of that -- so take my review as you will. Probably would've been better marketed as a sitting stool. Regardless, the whole reason of getting this footrest model was for fast setup, fast breakdown, and easy portability -- it is literally neither of these things.
