Bought these for my childrens' room bookshelf and love how they look but they are really only for small paperbacks and do not work well for taller or heavier books as they bend. I use two stacked together to help hold up our treasuries and big books and will still occasionally find them bent over.

I have a small bookcase beside my bed and use a shelf for my cd's to play at night. The music helps to calm and relax me before I go to bed. These smaller Bookends look great holding up my music.

I needed a couple of book ends for my cookbooks on a side table ASAP. I didn't want to spend a lot until I found the perfect ones for the space. These are inexpensive and heavy enough to do the job.

I completely love these things! Sturdy! Cute! Functional!! As you can see, I use them practically side by side, two at a time on same self. And THE books are on a corner book shelf, so the shelf goes at a 90' degree angle (if my description is correct.) And it hold them in place. I noticed several reviews, that concern me, but i took a chance. All the screws aligned up nicely. It holds up two of my Mac books Pro (1 purple alligator print in front.) nicely!! I am excited!! I love them so much.... I wish I had somewhere else to use them, but not just all of that.... they remind me of the scripture the tree of life! There are several, but this one is my favorite. Proverbs 11:30New Revised Standard Version30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, but violence[a] takes lives away. Yes, Yahweh! Somebody needs to pay me for this review. Hah!!!!
