Your cart is empty.This purchase is for a set of engine case cover designed to help protect your bike in the event of a low-side. The covers are made of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a tough plastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. They can be inexpensively replaced in case of a low-side. The bolts are made of highest grade commercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength). Rest assured that you are getting the best material and fully thought out product.

I like their products but they don’t want to advertise that their engine covers scratch the paint underneath it, or take responsibility for it.

these were purchased 1 year ago, they sent me incorrect bolts that were not threaded down the bolt enough. luckily i was able to feel the bolt bottom out before the cover was seated so i knew something was wrong. i contacted trex and they sent me revised bolts that ended up working, however a few months later, someone on the ktm forums I'm in posted that he cracked his engine casing intalling these covers. others in the group have also complained these covers contact the ground while cornering at the track. although they are great looking engine covers, i feel like i should warn others of the risks. t-rex has probably revised the bolt problem, but i worry about other vendors that might have old stock with the incorrect hardware. so if you buy these, make sure you thread the hardware by hand all the way to be sure.
