Keys are great but, but the software is useless. It's all in Chinese and a sketchy download, and once you do get it to English there is no way to actually reprogram the thing

This is a cute little keyboard of just 9 keys, but they can be programmed to be any kind of input you like. At the basic level, they can just be single key presses, but what makes them more useful is programming them with multiple presses. However, I am a little concerned with the programming software being shared as a google drive link, with a notice to disable system protections before installing it. For this reason, I only tested it on a system I don’t keep any sensitive data on, but I wouldn’t use it on my main computer, and why I only gave it 3 stars.

Overall, I liked the functionality and compact size of this little programmable keypad.The included red switches are nice, low actuation force linear switches. I was able to swap in different switches and keycaps without any problems.It worked equally well with wired usb-c, or wireless. The included 2.4GHz dongle worked well. It would have been nice if there was a way to store it on the device, but it is so compact that I can understand why they didnt do it. The dongle comes in a small plastic carrying case.I liked the ease with which you can reconfigure the keys using the downloadable driver.The key assignments include all of the standard keys, basic mouse butttons, some systems functions, sound control, text strings, and programmable macros.You can also specify multiple layers so that you can have multiple key configurations that you can easily switch between.It isnt shown in the product description, but the driver also allows you to display a small transparent overlay window that appears on your desktop that shows the current key mappings and lets you switch layers which is handy. It would have been nice if the overlay could have been toggled on and off with a hotkey, but I didnt find any way to do that.Unfortunately, a negative is the driver installation that requires you download the setup file from a google drive url found in the product description. That file is going to be flagged as potentially malicious so you are going to have to ignore that warning and install it anyway. Once you do install it you are going to be met with setup windows with instructions that are all in chinese. I used my smartphone and google lens with the translate option to read the instructions, but you could also just blindly click on the button options highlighted in blue and get through it. Now, downloading a setup file from a questionable site and blindly clicking buttons in chinese is probably not something most people want to do, so this is a definite negative.Once you get the driver installed, you can switch the language to english and everything works just fine.

As others have stated, the driver and programming software are linked to an anonymous GDrive share, as well as shared as on a Baidu network share. No English language installer was available. This, coupled with the antivirus warnings, made this installation a non-starter for me.

Unfortunately, the installer was entirely in Chinese so there was no way to know what I was agreeing to or what to select. Plus the driver was only downloadable from a Google Drive which is a bit suspicious to me. Not recommended.

As others have pointed out, it does not come with software. I had to go searching on the internet and you end up with a sketchy looking installer from an unverified source. I installed it on a virtual machine to avoid any contamination risk and had to use translation software, since the installer is only in chinese and you don't get english options until you've installed it.After that things worked ok, but eventually I had to give up because it was unreliable as to what devices it would be visible and pair to. Which was a pity, since the unit is of high quality construction.
