shooting a lot of Rugby and American Football, I've started to experiment with using a tripod and a monopod with my 70-180mm. Whilst something like this might not be for everyone, i've found it to be a useful addition to my camera bag for certain sports photography jobs!The ring is a perfect fit to my 70-180mm and easily clamps onto the lens with ease. Once on, the mount ring feels very secure and has worked with my work tripod!No issues at all with this product. If you need a good mount ring for shooting on location, consider this one!

I want extra tripod support for my new, large and heavy Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM EF Mount Lens. As the circumference and radius measures the same as the Tamron 70-180mm lens, I thought my needs were going to be met.PROS:+ sturdy, solid metal materials+ black finish is a bit grippy, rather than completely smooth, making the mount easier to handle+ uses quick-release Arca Swiss mount found on most higher-end tripodsCONS:- doesn't fit my lens- the screw connector would slow down lens changes, even with the quick-release Arca Swiss mount- the screw connector also doen's provide any additional tightening or loosening that might be required to ensure a good, tight lens connection- the inside of the holder isn't padded and seems as though it could easily scratch the barrel of my lensCONCLUSION: I believe the right sized mount would be a useful addition to my camera gear, although the proce seems a bit high.

I love my Tamron lenses! A couple of them are really heavy though. This collar ring is solidly built and holds the lens in place well. It isn't quite as easy as other collars to remove as you have to twist the nob several times to release, rather than just pull like other models. Other than that, this is a welcome addition to my camera gear.

Ich benutze die Schelle an der G2 des 70-180mm!Hier passt sie gerade so hinter dem Fokusring. Vom Durchmesser ist es kein problem.Die Fertigungsqualität liegt auf ähnlichem Niveau wie zb eine schelle vom Sony 70-200. Damit kann ich es vergleichen.Optisch hat die schelle so einen "wet-look"..... muss man selbst entscheiden ob man es mag. meins ist es nicht so, tut der Funktion aber keinen Abbruch.an der 2. Generation gibts eine kleine Einschränkung. Man haut sich die Finger beim halten des Griffs immer an der schelle. Das empfinde ich als etwas unangenehm. Fliest in die Bewertung aber nicht ein das es dafür schließlich eigenlch nicht gebaut ist!Kann man absolut weiterempfehlen! Qualität und preis sind absolut im Einklang.

Diese Stativschelle ist an sich für das Tamron 70-180 mm F/2.8 Di III VXD konzipiert. Der Durchmesser beträgt 8cm, so dachte ich, könnte ich es auch für mein Tamron 70-300 F4-5.6 benutzen. Nun, was soll ich sagen, es passt auch. Es verdeckt zwar ein wenig das kleine Sichtfenster für die Fokusdistanz, aber das stört nicht sonderlich beim Ablesen, immerhin ist es ja auch nicht für dieses Objektiv gedacht. Generell passt diese Stativschelle für Objektive mit 8cm Durchmesser, insofern man einen schmalen Streifen zum Befestigen zur Verfügung hat.Die Schelle lässt sich schnell und einfach anbringen und hält auch wirklich fest. Ich kann nun mein Stativ über diese Schelle an meinen Kugelkopf per Schnellwechselplatte anbringen und das Gewicht ist deutlich besser auszentriert, zuvor lag das Gewicht ja immer vorne am Objektiv, was das ausrichten natürlich erschwert hat, da die Kamera samt Objektiv immer gerne etwas vorne nach unten gekippt ist. Jetzt hat sich das Problem gänzlich von selbst gelöst.Ein weiterer Vorteil ist, dass das Bajonett der Kamera weniger belastet wird, da nun nicht mehr das Gewicht des Objektives an der Kamera zieht, sondern nur noch das Gewicht der Kamera selbst.Qualitativ kann man, soweit ich das beurteilen kann, nichts bemängeln. Die Gewinde zur Befestigung am Stativ sind sauber geschnitten, die gesamte Schelle ist aus Metall gefertigt, das Scharnier ist mit einem Metallpin verbunden und innen am Ring, also da, wo er das Objektiv berührt, ist noch eine Art dünne Polsterung angebracht, sodass man das Objektiv nicht verkratzt.Für mich ist das ein Produkt, das ich jetzt nicht mehr missen möchte, da es das Fotografieren einfacher macht mit der langen Linse. Auch wenn ich die Schelle nun nicht für das eigentlich dafür vorgesehene Objektiv verwendet habe, hält sie dennoch sehr gut und erfüllt seinen Zweck einwandfrei. Den Preis von 34,99€ (zur Zeit des Schreibens dieser Rezension) finde ich soweit ok, da die Schelle ja wirklich sehr stabil und langlebig gemacht ist und ich denke, bei richtigem Umgang wird man sie auch sehr lange benutzen können.Von mir gibt es daher auch 5 Sterne und eine Kaufempfehlung.

First off, despite the listing describing this as being manufactured by 'Hersmay', it is by JLWin from whom I have ordered products before and been very happy with them, this is no exception.Fit and finish are both A+ which is to be expected and the collar easily holds the camera, a Sony A7, lens and a small cage when placed on a tripod.I'm not sure what material has been used to line the inner surface of the ring but it is incredibly grippy whilst being super soft so as not to damage the lens.How I Rate- ***** Don’t think, just buy it!- **** Nothing to complain about, I’d spend my own money on this.- *** Does what it should but there may be better alternatives- ** Problems or issues encountered that outweigh any benefits.- * Run for the door!I only order Items that I or my family have a genuine use for and as such you can be sure that they are tested in real world warts and all situations.
