This tripod is very well made and works great. It’s lightweight, but still very stable.

This tripod is a quality offering. The carbon legs are solid, and the telescoping locking rings function smoothly. The clamping head is a solid metal fabrication (except for the plastic knob handles), and does a great job of securing a rifle stock. The large knobs are easy to manipulate with heavy gloves on. The clamp jaws are lined with a stiff rubber material that provides a solid grip without marring the stock. It's reasonably light, but still weighs in at 6 lbs. 5 oz. so it's not the lightest shooting rest option for hiking across miles of country. The clamp head is semi-permanently affixed to the tripod using what appears to be a 3/8 bolt secured with a locking nut from the bottom. It is not setup to easily switch out tripod heads and does not have the industry standard 3/8 or 1/4 inch screw interface commonly seen on photographic tripods. If you are looking for a dedicated shooting tripod that is rock solid, easy to operate and reasonably lightweight, this is a great choice.Field update: I just got back from a deer hunt in rugged northern AZ. This shooting tripod was a true game changer for me. I glassed a nice buck across a canyon at 300 yards. This tripod enabled me to make a perfect shot that I otherwise might not have been comfortable taking. Easy to setup and level with the built in leveling bubble. It held my rifle much steadier than the shooting sticks I typically use. I like that it securely holds my rifle at the ready while I glass terrain with binoculars on another tripod. The friction adjustments work very well to provide the desired feel for tilt and azimuth movement. I now consider this an essential piece of hunting gear.

I have a few firearms I equipped with a laser sight. I sighted them in house with the laser bore sighting tool but I want to see how good it is in real life at the range. What I wanted was the adjustable rest to shoot them from, to minimize the inevitable movement of the firearm when you shoot it "from your hands". I got this tripod and once I opened the package I knew - this was IT! No assembly needed. I did not even read the included manual - everything was simple and natural. Relatively lightweight, rubber anti-slipping pads, stable, the rubber coated yoke rest included. I am anxious to take it to the range to test it. Well, I just remembered I needed to buy some FMJ rounds in different calibers. I'm not going to shoot some special $2 or $3 a pop defensive rounds to adjust the laser sight😊. Wish me luck.
