Worked well. Didn't get hot, nor did it look bad. Plugged right into a regular socket. Good value for the money.

seemed to work alright. used to mount power ext for a wall mounted tv. ran through the wall, the heavy duty jacket and thickness look like it will hold up well in the wall over time.

I was upgrading my computer a few weeks ago and realized I needed a short power cord extension. I currently use a couple of 1 foot extenders from my UPS to my electronics equipment but found I needed more. The Tripp Lite came recommended so I got three straight plug adapters since the 1 foot adapters I currently use are a bit short. If you are using these to connect to a UPS or any tight space, get the straight plug. Most large home UPS usually have a couple of offset receptacles for devices with large power adapters, but it can be a pain if you have more that that.Tripp Lite offers a 90 degree version as well, so consider how they are going to connect before buying. I like the 90 degree ones for connecting to the wall outlet since they don't stick out like the straight plug version.

My new vacuum cleaner had a cord that was a bit shorter than my previous one--when you get a habit of using the same plugs to clean your house, but the new vacuum no longer reaches as far as you need to go, and the manual says not to use an extension cord, this heavy-duty cord does the trick.

Sennheiser for audio, Tripp Lite for power, as I always say. A simple, excellent, thick cable for extending the length of a device's power cord. Don't bother with cheapo brands, they'll die in 6 months and leave you troubleshooting your entire setup wondering which thing has died on you.

I ordered this a couple days ago. it's sturdy, heavy duty, The cable is rated 15AMP, 120 volts, exactly what I needed it for. If you need something that may sustain more amperage, THIS IS NOT THE PRODUCT FOR YOU. Try getting a heavy duty chord with 20 AMPs or more depending on the amperage output that is needed.Be sure to check your fuse and breaker boxes and know what appliances and electronic devices are being used for each fuse/breaker. Let's be smarter today to avoid regret later. We are living in tough times. We can no longer take our lives for granted. Let's protect our property.I have only used this for a day (yesterday eve and this morning), and so for it suffices for my household needs.Note: With any new extension, extender, power conditioner/strip, it's always wise to do testers and not overload the outlet or circuit used. If your appliances have timers, I'd recommend using those options when testing.

Six feet is taller than me, but as a block heater cord, it was too short. You have to plan where you park in parking lots for the cord to reach the receptacle. Receptacles are usually in the middle between two parking spaces. For my car, I can only park on the left spot for the cable to reach. I gave 5 stars because it's not the seller's or manufacturer's fault that I bought a cord that was too short for my needs.

Contrary to some of the reviews and answers to questions, this cord is not outdoor rated. If an extension cord is outdoor rated, it’s UL label usually (but not always) will say Outdoor. AND the insulated jacket will have the W designation. If you look at this Tripp Lite cord, the UL label does not use the word Outdoor, but more importantly, the designations on the jacket are SJT. S means a general-use cord good for indoor use. J means the cord has the standard 300-volt insulation. T means the jacket is made of thermoplastic elastomer rubber. Most of my outdoor extension cords have the designation of SJTW. W means the cord is suitable for outdoor use.I find these Tripp Lite extension cords to be very high quality. They are just not rated for outdoor use.

I purchased this primarily to use with my Waring 1800W deep fryer, which we use in the garage as opposed to in the kitchen. With the outlets so far away, the tiny cord that comes with the fryer obviously wouldn't cut it. But, being an 1800W (15A) appliance, only a very heavy-duty extension cord could be used without the risk of causing it to overheat. This fit the bill perfectly - it is JUST the right length, THICK (heavy-duty), and retains beautifully. No loose connections at the female side to overheat - which could very well occur with something like a deep fryer or space heater (which this would also work great for).Previously, I had been using a 15A-rated power strip in conjunction with a smaller heavy-duty extension cord, but this setup would, for some reason, cause the power strip to trip on startup - despite being exactly a 15A load as the power strip was rated for. This longer (single) cord solved the issue of unwanted tripping, however, and won't overheat, either, due to being the correct gauge (this is THICKER 14 gauge; fryer power cord is SMALLER 16 gauge).Would highly recommend for anyone that needs a longer cord for an appliance with a high current demand, or simply wants a heavy-duty extension cord for added safety/durability.

It's a solidly build extension cable. I've been using it now for over a year on an 80 pint dehumidifier, and haven't had any problems.
