I just needed a backup for when my power flickers. This battery backup will squeal if your desktop is using more than its capacity even though there is no outage. I had to give up using this for the computer, now it is only powering my monitors and phone chargers. It is too late for me to return it, I am sorry that I bought it. DO NOT BUY if you have a fast I-7 I-9 desktop computer it cannot handle fast computers even if there is NO POWER OUTAGE!

It is a nice compact, back up and it works great. I will be purchasing a couple of more for other places in my house. I bought this as an emergency backup for an electric recliner so I don’t get stuck again when power goes out!

This device has worked flawlessly for a year and a half and then something went wrong with it. That happens. But getting something replaced after that much time, even if the warranty said 3 years, I was a bit dubious. I got a hold of the manufacturer who asked a couple've trouble-shooting questions, realized it wasn't fixable, and then, even knowing it had to be shipped across the border, promised a replacement - and it arrived here 3 weeks later! That's service and INTEGRITY!

Works as advertised. 210 max wattage, not 350 - that's voltage amps. Add up the max wattage on your devices and buy accordingly. You have less than 15minutes to safely power-down your stuff when the power goes out, just like it says. And that's only if you're pulling less than 210 watts at the time. Even one Playstation 4 draws 250 watts at peak.TV + PS4 is more than 210, so when something else pulls extra power and overwhelms the circuit, the TrippLite just gives up, no beep no protection no 15 minutes of safety.This is great for a small non-gamer laptop and a few peripherals. When drawing less than it's max capacity, it will give a warning beep and give you about 15minutes to get the power back on or safely shut down your laptop. Good for places where power drops briefly.When I think UPS, I think of a product that screeches when the power goes out and keeps everything alive for 8 hours. This is not that.

I don't know why I respond to review requests? The Tripp UPS historically is what industry uses for battery back up. I've not had a failure yet so I don't know anything. I've used them before and they were reliable.

Small size. Great for backing up a router. UPS will not ring alarm when on battery backup power. Not until the batteries are getting low will the audible alarm sound. So if your electricity flickers, you will not hear an alarm until the UPS batteries are almost used up. Only 3 of the 6 receptacles are on battery backup. The other 3 receptacles are just surge protectors.

Based on the trend in computers using less power and the way power strips have become the de-facto surge suppressors in the computer-powering setups, and the fact that I now live in a rural location, This is the power conditioning, surge-suppressing suppressing supply to computers.1. Power conditioner rated for the load on the branch circuit.2. UPC rated for the load on the branch circuit and capable of running on full battery for 10 minutes.3. Tripp-lite 8-outlet surge suppressor, 3520 or so joules. This is a hidden gem, it carries a much higher joule rating than any UPSs below $500.These UPC,s also made by Tripp-lite is adequate for loads they carry for a pretty cheap price:1. 1 27" iMac, 6 Mac mini servers, a large high-speed HP printer, and a ScanSnap scanner.2. 1 45" TV, a DVD player, 6 Apple TVS, Fire-sticks, etc, and a Bose sound bar.3. About the same load as 1 above.4. 1 27" iMac, 1 MacBook Air, a large high-speed HP printer, and a ScanSnap scanner.Probably all of the loads could be carried by 1 power conditioner, UPS, and surge suppressor, but the rooms are scattered through the house, but each room can be adequately protected for a reasonable cost. Gone are thye days when most computers had at least a 450 watt power supply, and the UPS tp supply it looked like a mid-size tower computer that took up way too much space. Now you can fit all of the necessary appliances under a desk or behind a bookcase, and the necessary UPS is inexpensive, sturdy, and made by an extremely reputable company.

I was specifically looking for something that would have enough space between the plugs that it would allow me to plug in the white Kasa smart plugs. That is not the case with this UPS. The spacing in real life is much smaller than I had expected. I guess I should've read the dimensions more precisely. Still, I found a use for it and it has been working well for about a week now.

I am a big Tripp Lite fan. I had a SMART1050 in this location and it was over 10 years old, ready for it's 3rd battery replacement. However, the unit got zapped during a recent power outage and new batteries did not bring it back to life. Not a problem - it was old and did its job protecting the equipment connected to it.While looking for a replacement UPS, I was not very happy about the alternatives and the reviews I was seeing. I was considering Eaton, APC, as well as various Tripp Lite models - nothing was really jumping out at me for the prices I was seeing.When I found this Tripp Lite model, I contemplated it relative to the SMART1050 which I was extremely happy with. I don't have a need for the LED display or advanced features of some of the models currently available. Pure sine wave and more power capacity would be nice, but again, I was not happy with what I was reading about for what was available. So, I went for this unit and purchased two to replace the single SMART1050. So far, I'm extremely happy with these. I charged them up for 24 hours, installed, and they're doing the job. I pulled the plug on each just to be sure they'd kick in, and they did fine.

Seems to be working fine. I'm not sure if the power has gone out, but it certainly flickers regularly and my computer and printer are still on, so that's a good sign.

I've had this unit for almost a month & so far it has worked exactly as described.I'm using it as backup power for my main cordless telephone,there have been 2 short term power failures here & this unit has taken over without a hitch.I've had other UPS units before(different brands) but this is my first Tripp-Lite unit & so far I'm pleased with it & I'd buy it again.It's been my experience that the batteries in UPS units last about 5 years which I feel is reasonable.I'd definitely buy this unit again;it was well packed & arrived in perfect condition.
