I wear these when I am coaching hockey. Like most hockey gloves they started out stiff, but they are comfortable once worn in a little bit. These gloves offer a lot of protection. The palm pad seems pretty durable, they aren't showing any signs of wear yet.

I'm a beginner so I bought these as my first gloves mostly to save money. I've only used them twice so far, but they have held up great.I didn't see any fit comparison listed when I purchased them, so if you are wondering they are medium tightness. Compared to when I was trying on Bauer gloves, I'd say these are in-between traditional and anatomical fits.Edit: After using for a few months they are still holding up well. I took a slapshot to the back of the hand and the padding kept my hand pretty safe, it hurt like heck and bruised my hand but didn't swell and I was back to normal within a day or so, so they'll do the job you need them to do.

These gloves are exactly what I needed to help me on the neighborhood rink. I've never played hockey nor have I ever been a really good skater, but these gloves provide my hands the protection they need when I'm playing with the kids at the local rink. They allow me to control the puck and to keep my hands warm regardless of the amount of time that I'm out in the freezing temps. I'm very impressed with these and look forward to using them on a consistent basis moving forward.
