Made from thicker gauge steel than I expected and cable is same diameter as original. I am happy with fit and operation. The pulleys are steel where originals are brass. It squeaks a little but runs up and down okay!

Works well, but it doesn't come down nearly low enough, you will need to lift the bottom of the drywall 59" to set it on the holder.

Fit perfectly with my Harbor Freight lift. Super easy to switch out with the stock riser.

Can’t believe the price of this great value built well worth it for sure!! Attached it to my harbor freight lift. easy to install and swap back to the original defiantly would buy again but it’s built well and don’t think I ever will need to buy again but I highly recommend you buy this if you need one no need to look elsewhere!!

The drywall lift extension works perfectly. I am using it on a Harbor Freight drywall lift to hang 4x8 1/2 sheets on a cathedral ceiling 11 feet 8 inches at the highest point. The hoist without the extension will only lift it 11.6. It was easy to switch out the original part with the longer one. It is a two person job to do this for a heads up. Just have to route the wire rope through a couple of pulleys, put a clamp on the wire in the reel and it's good to go. It definitely make a difficult task easier. The only issue I have is lifting the sheets up to the cradle because it is higher than it was with the original part. Other than that, it works great. I would recommend the troy extension to anyone with a Harbor Freight drywall lift for doing high ceilings.

I bought this to use with my lift master (Harbor Freight) drywall lift. It worked well. It is a little high off the ground and it is much easier to load the lift with two people (esp. with 12' 5/8" type X drywall!) but the part works and was easy enough to install.

Pros: Easy setup, Durable for a budget lift.Cons: Price is still too high for a couple-piece extension on a budget drywall lift. Also, off color. I bought a Troy DPH11, 3 months ago. This extension is a much more orange tint. Not a problem but not very professional. The biggie: it installed well until I tried to settle the top piece inside. The unit with the arms that hold the sheet, the post on the back of it did not fit into the hole in this extension. Measured with my calipers, the hole was just a hair too small, but had to grind the post just a bit so it would settle down into the whole. So, doable but a PAIN IN THE REAR.After 10 minutes with the grinder, it fit my Troy DPH11 drywall lift as it should. And yet, the top unit will be a little looser if I go back to the original, shorter boom.

I bought this to hang a high ceiling in a garage. It was easy to remove the original one from the lift and replace it with this one. It take a bit of getting used to having to life the drywall so much higher to get it onto the lift but once is it it is a life saver for those high applications. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I don't remember reading anywhere that the lift has a propensity to try and kick out from underneath due to the height when adjusting drywall into place at ceiling height. Once we figured that out and reworked our approach everything went smooth. We were installing 12', 5/8" fire rated on the ceiling and a wall in a garage with a 13' ceiling height.
