Installed the string silencers after several tries. They were nice and snug on the string of my crossbow. Onthe second shot one of the silencers flew off the string and hit me in the chest. I cut the 2nd one off. I may try a different style from a different vendor. These I don't recommend.

These work like a charm. I had silencers on my crossbow that were pre installed up on purchase. The eventually wore out after 3yrs. Came across these on Amazon and decided to give a try despite some of the negative remarks. People were saying that they flew off on 1st or second shots. I haven't run into that issue yet but if you purchase make sure that you pull them all the way through the hole so that the bigger round circle is sitting over top of the hole. Another thing that can be done for added grip strength is a dab of super glue so it won't come loose. As for the product it definitely decreased the noise, as I stated my original silencers came off from wear(rubber doesn't last forever) and was making a loud pop almost after shots. These reduced that noise significantly. Definitely would recommend for on the fly buying especially if you aren't wanting to put your bow through a press or have your strings changed.

At first out of the package all seemed good and the install was fairly simple. 1st shot I noticed a small change in noise reduction but not much. 3rd shot one flew off. 5th shot I lost the other one. They are wrapped so tight around the string and put back through itself, that it wants to pull itself apart and with the inertia of the bow, that is exactly what it does. Just for shits and giggles, I wanted to see if I reinstalled them and used some super glue to hold them together, if they would stay on. They didn't they both came off within 10 shots. They do very little for the noise reduction that it is not worth the time and money to even mess with. I give 3 stars because the concept is sound and may be suitable for different bows and setups. Just was not for mine.
