I used this to mount my Gowutar green dot sight on my shotgun for turkey hunting. Works perfect. Good quality and price.

Couldn't find a rail to fit a Phoenix Arms hp22 lr pistol until this one emerged. With some minor adjustments (sanding the 2 carriage straps down to fit underneath the barrel ribbing), the rail now fits perfectly. The Sig Sauer Romeo 1 micro red dot sight fit right out of the box! Couldn't be happier with the setup now! Lightweight, well built and a quality item!!

I bought this as a solution for minting a red dot to a shotgun that was consistently patterning high and left with its fixed bead. Great quality and now this shotgun is a reliable firearm for turkey hunting. I have purchased a second one for another shotgun.

I have a youth model 870 in 20 gauge that isn’t drilled and tapped for a picatinny rail. I tried a saddle mount that I couldn’t seem to get mounted correctly. This item seems perfect. It was easy to mount. The hardest thing about it was getting the set screws in place to make sure the mount was centered on the rib of the gun. After that, the main anchor screws went in easily with the metal bars under the mount. I put some loctite on those screws and tightened them down. It seems to extremely solid and in place to stay.I gave it a 4/5 because I have not shot the gun yet, but I am confident it will stay in place. If not, I will update. Upgraded to 5/5 after several rounds. If you correctly install this mount, it should give you no trouble, and it is very easy to install correctly. Just be patient with what I call the “set screws” to center it on the center rib.

Excellent quality product that installs easily. Having said that, I had to shorten the four screws that secure the mount to the vent rib of my REM. 1100 by 0.070” because they were contacting the barrel before the mount was securely tightened down.ETA: When attempting to sight the optic in, my shotgun was hitting 10" low at 10 yards and I was out of elevation adjustment on the optic. I wound up having to add two thicknesses of shotgun shell hull (0.040" total) between the rear of the base and the vent rib in order to bring POA to POI. If this begins to move over time, I will probably drill and tap the base for a brass-tipped set screw for a permanent solution.I also discovered that you can use the set screws on the sides of the base to roughly adjust windage before fine-tuning with the optic's internal adjustment.

The TruGlo shotgun rib mount is very well made. Everything fit perfectly to my Browning Gold shotgun and the Burris FastFire 3 fit the base perfectly. The side screws help get the mount centered up on the rib and help secure any sideways movement. The only issue was that the Allen wrench sent with the mount to secure the 4 hold down base screws was not the correct Allen wrench. The other 2 wrenches were correct. I sighted the gun in with 3-1/2” magnum loads and the sight did not move. I give the base a 5 and the kit a 4.75 due to the incorrect Allen wrench.

I bought a second one to see if it was a fluke. so I may update this someday:First: one customer asked if it fits the Mossberg 940 pro. Yes it does. I have it on mineSecond: The instruction manual (yes I RTFM) says it comes with two sets of screws mounting to the shotgun; it does not, it comes with a set of optics mounting screws and a set of plate mounting screws. For the Mossberg 940 Pro, these screws are too long, you will have to shim screws or grind down the screws.Third: The title of the review. The optic screws that came with the plate stripped the plate's threads. I attribute this to the screws being fairly short despite the fact it's designed to be used on a Trijcon optic. Truglo, please use slightly longer screws, barely tightening down the optic was enough to script the few threads that gripped the screws included. This would be resolved with longer screws.I am not sure if this plate will be durable enough if the shotgun gets dropped before of the thread issue above. It does WORK, but it remains to be seen how well.
