Pliers are comfortable to grip and easy to use.

High quality and well priced pliers. Ideal for fiddly assembly work and for getting into places that larger pliers won't. If they'll fit in the available space, they provide a better grip and better ability to manipulate items than snipe/needle nose pliers. Useful too for making intricate bends in bits of wire or thin sheet metal.

The craftsmanship of these duckbill pliers is worth way more than the price being charged. This company has an opportunity to penetrate and possibly dominate areas of the American tradesman tool market. I'm a licensed electrician and duckbills are in my tool bag despite not being on the required tool list. I primarily use them to grab wire and fish steels in tight spaces, mostly in conduit when I'm having trouble getting the head past a connector.

I love these pliers, I use them every day. It was great when they were only around 20 bucks (without on sale), but looks like they increased the price to almost $50. Its harder to recommend them at that price, but if you're looking for quality duck pliers then you won't go wrong with these.

The pliers are well built and have strong grip despite being smooth. The only small complaint is that the grips get dirty so easily. They are yellow to brown so fast and it’s not easy to clean off. Other than I love to use them

I've used channel lock brand for a lot of hand tools for years. I have a few knipex and Klein products too, and they're nicer but I always thought channel lock was good enough for the money. However, channel lock products have disappointed the past few years, while their prices are going up.I've bought a few tsunoda tools, and they are really good for the money, including this tool. At first, I thought this tool was made wrong, but the teeth are meant to line up the way my picture shows.I originally left a bad review thinking they were supposed to close flush, but this style the way they are allows them to precisely grab and hold even very small width items.I think they're really nice duckbills for the price. I'm using them for saltwater fishing out of San diego. They're used to tighten knots in fishing line and for removing hooks. (I'll have to hit them with lubricant/anti corrosion products regularly to keep them working in a saltwater environment) They aren't as burly as the channel lock version but I think they'll work fine for this.I think it's worth checking out anything this brand makes, and the fit and finish and quality / materials, etc. is generally really high for the price.Everything I've tried from them beats channel lock version and is at the same or better prices, but I wouldn't say they are on the same level as knipex. However, for the price, I think they are really, really excellent. I changed my review from 3 to 5 stars because I was wrong about something regarding the tool.

I have many different brands of pliers. I make chainmaille and need quality. I have Tronex, Lindstrom, knipex (electronics style which aren’t chrome plated and use stainless ball bearing steel), and several other lesser brands. I can say with confidence that these are right up there with the others in terms of quality control and premium look/feel.I did modify it quite a bit for my specific uses but the original design was fantastic for other reasons. The main point of my review is to emphasize the quality that went into these pliers while being only I would recommend these to anyone. In their original design they are best used for gripping thin surfaces that are tough to get a hold of. If you keep leaving them in your save for later, just go ahead and throw them onto your next order you won’t be disappointed.

The price to quality ratio with these Tsunoda pliers is unmatched in the tool world! I'm a tool collector and have every brand imaginable, these are up there with the top brands. I love Japanese and German tools because of their continued commitment to quality and these don't disappoint. I would say they're easily on par with brands like Knipex, Snap-On, Klein, etc..I shared a pic of the jaws closed in front of the TV light, to show how close the jaws close. There is a slight gap at the rear of the jaws, near the rivet point, as there should be with duckbill designs. The grips seem to be adhered very well to the handles. The rivet hinge is very smooth and easily glides open and closed. I didn't check the hardness scale of the teeth but they are hardened and pretty sharp too.I will update the review later but I have used them several times already and they do not disappoint whatsoever! I cant imagine finding a sub-$20 pair if pliers that are better made, than these. Just buy them.. they are Tsunodas after all!

Qualitativ fühlt man keinen Unterschied. Nur der Preis unterscheidet sich [noch] (knapp 16€ für Tsunoda).Fazit: Auf jeden Fall eine Kaufempfehlung. Hochwertige Zange für einen annehmbaren Preis.

When I decided to replace my old rusty pair of duckbill pliers I got on Amazon and looked at the offerings and decided to order a pair made in Japan by Tsunoda and a pair made in U.S.A. bearing the Channellock name. There is no comparison between the finishes on the two pliers, the Tsunoda are smoothly ground with no burrs or sharp edges. In contrast the Channellock pliers look like they were finish ground on an extremely coarse grinding belt and the corners are very sharp with a lot of burrs on them. I am sure the pliers themselves are of reasonable quality and I can regrind and finish them but I don't feel I should have to do so. Since both pliers were comparable in price, if I decide I want another pair, I will purchase the Tsunoda. I have Klein duckbill pliers at work which are nicer in shape, fit, and finish than either the Tsunoda or the Channellock which is why I gave these a 4 star rating. If you are looking for 5 stars purchase Klein, they are fabulous.
