I bought this kit for my 2023 DRZ-400SM after a nail incident. Per the instructions, they say to grind down any heightened locations from the spoke nuts. Per my experience this is a very important step. As you can see from my pics I skipped that step due to all the reviews online saying how great this stuff is. Low and behold, it initially stuck to the rim but eventually pulled away. Fortunately I noticed this before spooning the tire back on. If this were wider tape, this would not have been an issue. The outer width of the tape only goes about a 1/4" past the widest portions of the spoke nuts. I'm sure this tape is plenty wide for the front wheel (spoke nuts are more inline on the front wheel), but on the rear the spokes are more offset. I ended up fixing the tube and tire and pulling all the Outex stuff, but may return with some 2" wide 3M 4412 in the future to finish the job. The Outex in this kit was only a little over 1.5" in width.
