I bought this for my daughter for softball. It fits well with room for her to grow into. This has protection in all the right spots where she could be hit, and I feel safer knowing that she will have that extra protection. We are starting kid pitched, so this should be the start of an awesome season.

Our grandson didn't like the styrofoam pads? sewn into the shirt and wouldn't wear it. Because no one tried it on him soon enough, I was unable to return it.

My son got hit on the side during his travel game and one of the moms mentioned getting side and back pads! I never heard of it. I found this one and another one but my son likes this one better.

You don't know what you don't know. You see the heart guards at Dicks, but this has the sides and back.This is my 3rd one. You may think its more football, and can go both ways, but like air bags, the more the merrier when it comes to safety.Ill also note, that its not noticeable, and when it is, its more... WHOA.. that's cool!!!No offense to the other brands, I used the chest only version 1st, but changed after I saw my boy take a line drive to chest... Protect your asset!
