About this item

  • Packing list: 1 pc Turbocharger Cooling Feed Line, 1 pc Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe, 1 pc Bolt, 2 pc O-Rings. OEM/Part Number: 55568031, 55567067. Compitable Vehicle For Cruze 2011-2016/ Cruze Limited 2016/ Sonic 2012-2020/ Trax 2013-2020/ Encore 2013-2020
  • Common faults of coolant return hose: Aging and rupture will cause coolant leakage, resulting in a reduction in the amount of coolant, making the cooling system unable to work properly and unable to effectively dissipate heat for the engine; the leaked coolant will drip onto other components in the engine compartment, causing corrosion damage to electrical components, etc
  • Loose or falling interfaces. Loose or falling interfaces will also cause coolant leakage. Its hazards are similar to those caused by aging and rupture, which will affect the cooling effect of the engine. In addition, during the driving process of the vehicle, the leaked coolant will pose a safety hazard, such as causing slippery roads and affecting the braking performance of the vehicle
  • Blockage, causeing poor local heat dissipation of the engine, uneven temperature distribution of the engine, accelerated wear and aging of engine parts, and shortened the service life of the engine. Deformation, reducing the inner diameter of the hose, hinder the normal flow of coolant, reduce the heat dissipation efficiency of the cooling system, and thus affect the cooling effect of the engine and increase the risk of engine overheating
  • Warm Tips: This product is made of high quality materials and has been strictly controlled in quality to perfectly match your needs, but please check the OE number and other information of the product carefully before purchasing to make sure that you are purchasing the right product. We provide 24-hour service, if you have any questions about your purchase you can contact us at any time, we will try our best to solve it

Cooling Feed Line Pipe and Coolant Return Hose Line

Generally, the replacement steps of the coolant return hose may vary depending on the model:

Step 1 Preparation:

Purchase the coolant return hose suitable for the model in advance, prepare common tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc., and prepare some clean rags for cleaning and wiping. In addition, to prevent burns, make sure that the vehicle engine has been completely cooled before operation. It is generally safer to wait for several hours after parking.

Step 2 Find the location of the coolant return hose:

Open the engine hood, find the connection location of the coolant return hose in the engine compartment according to the vehicle's maintenance manual or query the specific information of the model online. It is usually connected between the engine's cooling system and the radiator, or connected to the coolant storage tank.

Step 3 Release the cooling system pressure: Before replacing the hose, you need to release the pressure in the cooling system to avoid burns caused by coolant spraying during the disassembly process. Find the pressure release valve of the cooling system (usually located above or on the side of the radiator), carefully open the pressure release valve, and slowly release the pressure in the system. During operation, you can cover the pressure release valve with a rag to prevent coolant from splashing.

Step 4 Remove the old coolant return hose

First loosen the fixing clamps or screws connected to both ends of the hose. If it is a clamp type, use pliers or a screwdriver to loosen the clamp; if it is fixed with a screw, use the corresponding screwdriver to unscrew the screw.

Gently turn and pull out the old coolant return hose. Note that there may be some residual coolant flowing out. Wipe it clean with a rag in time. At the same time, observe the connection method and position of the old hose so that the new hose can be installed correctly.

Step 5 Install the new coolant return hose

Insert the two ends of the new coolant return hose into the original connection position respectively, and make sure it is inserted in place. If it is a clamp type connection, put the clamp on the hose connection and tighten the clamp to ensure that the hose is firmly connected and will not loosen or leak; if it is fixed with a screw, use a screwdriver to tighten the screw.

Step 6 Check the installation:

Carefully check whether the connection of the newly installed coolant return hose is tight and whether the clamp or screw is firmly installed. At the same time, check whether there are other loose or damaged parts in the coolant line.

Step 7 Add coolant:

If coolant is lost during the hose replacement process, you need to add an appropriate amount of coolant to the cooling system. First find the coolant reservoir, open the lid, and slowly pour the coolant into the reservoir, taking care not to exceed the maximum level mark. The amount of coolant added may be different for different models. You can refer to the vehicle's maintenance manual to determine the exact amount to add.

Step 8 Start the engine and check:

After confirming that all operations are completed correctly, you can start the engine and let it idle for a while. Observe whether there is coolant leakage at the connection of the coolant return hose, and check whether the cooling system is working properly, such as whether the water temperature gauge pointer is normal and whether the radiator fan can operate normally. You can also check the liquid level in the coolant reservoir. If necessary, add coolant to the appropriate level again.
