This is a nice, well-made folder but it is quite heavy to hold. Not sure if I will return it for something lighter and easier to hold.

The folder feels like it's made of leather and it's comfortable to hold. It's awkward at first to insert the sheet music in the provided plastic protective cover, but it all made sense after I did it. The plastic sheet is only covering the top and bottom and i found it helpful to turn the pages. The majority of the inserted pages are uncover and it's convenient to write on it. I found that i can open the rings with one hand on either end. The feature to keep the folder partially open is helpful too so I don't get tired holding it. Not sure if this is clear from the photos but the exterior front and back is plain black.

The strong vertical handle on the spine makes for ease of holding and carrying the folder. Changes I would like—larger rings. The 10 pieces of music in my last concert were too crowded with the existing size rings. Overall, this folder was a big improvement over the one I previously used..

It is exactly what I was looking for to hold my choir music. It is very comfortable in the hand and I really like the adjustable strap. The only thing I don't like it that the handle isn't a lay flat handle so if I put it on my piano I can't lay it completely flat. Other than that, I really like it.

Pretty sturdy and I love that it came with protective sheet covers.

This is a good binder for anyone in choir or band to hold your sheet music in, as well as any other paperwork. The sheet protectors are a nice bonus with this binder and help to keep important music sheets clean and untorn. The side pockets are good for additional document storage, and the ID/card window is a nice touch, makes it easier to identify yourself and your belongings. The handle on this binder is very helpful to give an alternate way of holding the binder, and helps give you a more a polished, professional look.I give this binder 4 stars for its functionality and organization. It missed the 5 star mark due to two things: the faux leather it is made of will eventually scratch/tear/rip and make this binder look bad, and the elastic band to keep things together is not very strong. I would have preferred this had a flap closure with a button or lever snap to better secure the documents inside.

I'm a proud user of choral music folders from another well-known company. The folders I have all use the elastics to hold music booklets and can then use those elastics to hold 3-ring binder clips for hole-punched music. The downside to the elastic-held binders is that if you have a lot of music, it can sometimes feel like the binder is weighing down the elastics too much. I wanted a choral folder that was JUST a binder, but that looked nicer than a black binder from the office supply store.Enter this Choral Music Holder with 20 sleeves.Pros: Easy to add /remove/ rearrange music with the 3-ring binder, whether you have music that's already punched or you use the included clear page holders.Love the handle on the spine that also acts to stabilize the folder in one hand when singingADORE the snap-adjusted band that keeps the folder in a comfortable open position. So much easier than the buttons on my other folders!Classy, undecorated black exterior won't stand out in an ensemble of other black foldersElastic to keep the folder closed when not in use. What I don't love:The sides of the binder feel flimsy. The leather-like material covers what feels like rather thin paperboard backer that I worry could become folded and missshapen if one isn't careful. It's certainly sturdy enough to hold your music and not fold while singing, but I wish the paperboard were just a little more heavy-duty.Overall, though, this is a very attractive folder and much more functional than a regular binder!

I use my binders for both choir and instrumental rehearsals and wanted an extra one so I could separate the two sets of music. This one is nice for non-SATB printouts, specifically, anything that is 8.5” x 11”.The main thing I like about this one is it’s a 3-ring binder. All my others are either spiral bound or have those elastic straps for SATB printouts. Regardless, reorganizing your music in either case is a bit of a hassle, which is what makes the 3-ring binder so handy. And it holds a lot of music. Probably as much as the spiral bound binder, definitely more than the SATB binder (which holds 6 to 8 songs.). This one comes with 20 sheet holders, which will be enough for me.Other features I like; 1) there’s an elastic strap that keeps the binder from flying open and stuff falling out when you’re carrying it. 2) there’s a strap on the inside you can reposition so the binder either lays flat (almost) or is held open at 110 degrees. 3) There’s a strap/carry handle on the outer edge of the binder that helps if you’re actually singing while holding the binder, like when caroling, 4) there are 2 pockets, front and back, for storing handouts. It also has a place to put a business card or other label identifying the owner. I probably should use this feature whenever it’s there but so far I never have, so just mentioning it in case you want that. The materials are similar to other binders I have, this one calls it PU leather. I don’t know what that is, but as long as it sheds water, that’s my main concern. It’s also black, so I can hold it on-stage without blinding the audience from lights reflecting off of it.The one thing I can tell you that is a slight negative is that the carry strap doesn’t allow the binder to lay flat on a table or music stand. It’s not huge but when I was remembering it for this review, it stood out in my mind worse than it really was. I think I can get used to it, but it might bug some folks. Oddly, they went to the effort to add a removable bit of strapping that snaps around that strap, to make it extra comfortable I guess, but, to my mind, it would have been better if they skipped that and made the whole strap removable. Of course, I can just see it now, they make it removable and then people complain it came loose while they were carrying it, so maybe that’s a bad idea. The 3-ring inserts, btw, are the kind that has a top and bottom flap you slide your sheet music into. Some binders come with a kind that has a third flap along the outside edge. Those feel a lot sturdier to me but I haven’t ripped either kind yet, so the jury’s out on that. Putting the sheets in is a little easier on the 3-edge kind in my opinion, but that outside edge does cover some of the area you might need to make notes, so be aware of that.Price wise this one was a few bucks more than a similar one I have, but the extra pockets front and back, the adjustable inner strap, the elastic outer strap, the 3-ring binder and even the carry strap all make the extra few bucks worth it.
