So far the 4 or 5 times that I have used this with my Milwaukee infrared temperature gun it produced accurate results and being waterproof the thermistor is protected better so it should last longer and give proper measurements longer. It's definitely more to just than the regular ones. Obviously if you are looking to record high temperatures this is not for you I would imagine what makes this waterproof would melt.😆 For the temperatures I work with in the HVAC/R field -40 to 300 f this has worked perfectly.

It worked exactly how it is supposed to. It gave an accurate temperature reading and is waterproof. It's a little stiffer than I thought it would be but that doesn't change anything. I have a cheap IR gun and I didn't have any problem using this new prode with it. I will be using it to check the heat from my heated seedling matts to make sure that they are not getting to hot.

Finally had the opportunity to install this item only to find out it was defective. Was not water proof as described and failed as soon as it was inserted in water. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Multiple tests with the same meter on the same samples produced varying results. Build quality was pretty bad for something allegedly waterproof.
