It’s fun and cute, sure, but this feels sooo cheap, it feels like dollar store toys and honestly not worth $18. Sure the set comes with a lot of stuff, the panda and the bunny retractors in addition to 4 paddles, a bunch of balls, and a bunch of stickers.But… come on… stickers instead of just prints on the paddle in the first place? So cheap… the paddles and balls and honestly everything is super cheap and feels like it’s going to fall apart any second. I would NOT recommend this set even if it is cute and fun bc it’s not worth $18. Maybe $8 if even that…Get a cheaper set if you’re gonna get something of the same quality. Otherwise get a better set if you want to pay this price or higher…

This game has been a big hit with my elementary and preschool-age kids. I love that it came with two retractable strings and four paddles so up to four kids could play at the same time. It also allows 2 kids to solo practice just hitting the ball at the same time.You have to put on the stickers that give color to the cheeks, eyes, and ears of the panda string holder, rabbit string holder, and 2 panda paddles. The string holder stickers were easy enough to attach, but the paddle stickers were a bit trickier because they were so large. I would recommend that an adult or older kid with more dexterity put the paddle stickers on - ours ripped because it took our child several tries to get it placed correctly.Our biggest struggle was finding a place to hang this game. The adhesive on the hook looked like it might take off paint, and we didn't have a great doorframe where we could hang the game anyway, which I think may be a struggle of any open concept house these days. We thought about mounting it on the ceiling, but they are too high for the kids to reach the the string if it retracts. We ended up using stocking hooks on the mantle and hanging up the game there. I would highly recommend lightweight Christmas stocking hooks if you go this route because with an energetic game, you are likely to knock the stocking hook off the mantle, and the heavier ones could cause a head injury.There are also spare balls with holes in them so you can replace the ball on the string if needed. I suppose you could use them as regular ping pong balls too, though I'm not sure if they have the same bounce or not (no regular ping pong balls in our house for comparison purposes).This has been a big source of laughter for the kids. Occasionally, the string retracts - I can't tell if this is from a wild hit that bops the nose of the panda or rabbit or just something that happens accidentally, but I would say this ping pong game has held up to the abuse it has endured so far from some energetic children!
