This grip tape is for tennis rackets and associated sports but I found a different use for it… my kendo swords, it provides good grip without hurting my hands and so far seems to have good durability. If used for its intended purpose I would assume it would hold up reasonably well so I would recommend a try at least.

As an avid tennis player, I was excited to try out this pro-max overgrip, expecting it to enhance my grip and overall playing experience. However, I was ultimately left disappointed with its performance. While the overgrips initially felt soft and tacky, providing a decent grip during gameplay, their durability fell short of expectations. One of the main issues I encountered was the rapid deterioration of the overgrips, particularly in terms of their sweat absorption capabilities. Despite the product description touting "extreme sweat absorption," I found that the overgrips became slick and slippery after just a few matches, compromising my ability to maintain control over my racket. Additionally, the durability of the overgrips left much to be desired, as they began to fray and unravel prematurely, even with minimal use.Pros:Initial Grip Feel: Upon initial application, this grip offered a soft and tacky feel, providing decent grip and control over the racket handles during gameplay.Suitable for Various Racket Sports: These overgrips are versatile and can be used for various racket sports, including tennis, pickleball, badminton, paddle, squash, and more, making them a convenient option for players who participate in multiple activities.Cons:Rapid Deterioration: Despite their initial tackiness, the overgrips deteriorate quickly, particularly in terms of their sweat absorption capabilities. They become slick and slippery after just a few matches, diminishing their effectiveness in maintaining grip and control over the racket.Poor Durability: The overgrips exhibit premature wear and tear, with fraying and unraveling occurring even with minimal use. This lack of durability raises concerns about their longevity and value for money, especially considering that they are sold in a pack of four.Overall, this grip may offer initial softness and tackiness, but its lack of durability and sweat absorption performance make it a disappointing choice for serious players seeking reliable grip enhancement during gameplay.

I play a lot of tennis and need to have my rockets regripped all the time. It is pretty much like all the others in terms of it has the sticky part and an angled start which is good. I removed the plastic cover and then started to wrap the grip. But something seemed off,. It turns out that this particular grip material has the plastic cover on both sides of the material. This is unusual and I've never seen that before. So I got to be a little confused because I thought this grip was super slippery. But realizing what was going on I just unwrapped the part that I had wrapped and started again after removing the material. When I finished I found the grip to be nice and sticky which is what I want. The length of it is also very good and you will not run out of material.

I find that some tacky overgrips can have a slightly slick texture. I've found that those overgrips often get slippery if you have real sweaty hands or if they get wet. These are tacky, yet they don't have that slick surface and they remain grippy even when they get damp. This is exactly the feel that I prefer. These are the only overgrips I've come across that come with a protective plastic strip on both sides of the tape. I usually only see it one one side if at all. That adds just a little bit of extra work to remove it from both sides, but the end result is worth the difference. This tape has a tapered starting end with adhesive tab to make starting your overgrip install easier. This tape is long enough to comfortably wrap a 5.5" pickleball grip with room to spare. This is my favorite Tyrari overgrip version. I just wish they offered it in more colors like some of their other versions.

I used these on a pickleball paddle with grip length 5.3" and circumference of 4.125" I applied fairly tightly and had at least 4" remaining after trimming. The were easy to apply and stay in place well. The surface is fairly tacky and should work well for sweaty hands. There is good cushioning to make it a comfortable grip. I wear a glove so can't speak to it's absorbency but it seemed to hold up well even when my glove got a bit sweaty. The grip seems to be durable--no issues after playing regularly for several weeks. Would recommend this for most paddles.
