About half of these lock nuts seize up when using the same companies bolts. Could be the bolts or the lock washers, but the combination of their products doesn't work. They tend to seize about a 1/2" down the bolt and then won't go up or down. Net results was a lot of wasted time and sending them back - - defective.

Expensive for what you get, but handy to have. I wish they sold refills for the various sizes of these top quality fasteners.

First, almost every hardware you will find will be the lower quality 304 or 306 stainless. That will corrode in Salt water over time and then look crappy. So when you are working on a house near the coast for outdoor exposure or a boat, the 316 type is the only way to go. The kits all vary by screw type and size. You cannot beat the value. If you could go to Ace Hardware and even get 316 stainless, pricing out for each screw would cost you 3 times the cost of the kit and a huge amount of time. I bought 4 kits. I highly recommend this hardware.

I wish this assortment of SS locknuts better matched the SS machine screw set sizes. You do get the common 8, 10, and 1/4 ones but also rarely used size 4 and 6 nuts and then larger ones where you will likely be going to the hardware store for SS bolts anyway. Even so, it will definitely save a few trips to the hardware store, very convenient to have on hand.
