Used to replace the AGM battery in my 1993 Mazda Miata NA6 with:Mighty Max Battery ML-U1-CCAHR-XRP 12V 320CCA", which has the correct terminal orientation.Be aware that the Miata positive terminal is larger than the negative terminal.Both post adapters are the same size as the negative terminal. I made a copper bushing with a piece of copper tubing.This is a common modification on early Miatas.

Allowed me to put in my old Gravely tractor with original cables. seems they don't make lawn tractor batteries with top posts anymore, or I just could find them. I suppose I could have found a small car battery that may have fit, but for twice the price.

My mazda miata battery died after barely 1 year, twice! The agm batteries are so ridiculously expensive these days so I went on a bargain finding mission. I saw online that many people had great success using wet cell batteries in the miata because that is what is offered by the dealer now instead of AGM. The miata batteries are the same physical dimension as the lawn and garden tractor batteries and better yet, the tractor batteries actually have higher CCA than the oem batteries. The best part about all of this is that lawn mower batteries are dirt cheap compared to the agm or dedicated wet cell batteries.The only thing you need to do to take advantage of the the lower priced batteries is to change the flag terminal to a post terminal like your original battery. This adapter does exactly that! Save a ton of money on a miata battery!!Oh yeah almost forgot that the lawn mower/tractor batteries also have a vent port for the miata just like oem.Search U1R battery with atleast 320+ CCA at the autoparts store to use with this product for your miata.

I purchased these because my 2000 Miata uses a rebranded lawn mower battery with car terminals and a $200 price tag. I said "screw that" and bought these. One of the adapters fits better than the other, but they work.
