I have a cortsite stone on my fireplace and don’t want stickers on it or to put wholes in the wood around my stone. I had to figure a solution that didn’t mar my fireplace. There were a lot of pieces absolutely no instructions on what to do with all the pieces. I ended up putting the velcro sticker on a thin box a little bigger than the opening and attaching the really nice heavy insulated cover onto the box with I put in front of my fire place then putting the screen against the box holding it in place. I hear less noise and my front room is staying cooler. I would purchase again it’s working just wish they had instructions to see how the mean you to use it. There are no magnets in the cover there are tiny magnets in a baggie with no instructions, your guess is all you have

Would be great except I must have measured wrong…It BARELY covers the left and right sides of the fireplace opening and the magnets stick well to the top and bottom of the metal. I was going to use the Velcro provided however since it didn’t come to the edge enough on left and right, I couldn’t. The draft blocker May was only about 1” shy of covering to allow the Velcro to seal it more. We still use it because it’s better than not having it on at all and the magnetic parts attach and secure well enough.

I got this on a whim to cover a fireplace opening that I never use. When I got it, I was really baffled with the hooks, tapes, etc that came with it - and NO instructions (that's why it is 4 stars). It was only later I realized that the information is in the Amazon listing. Fortunately the brick around the fireplace is not painted. If it was, I am not sure if the adhesive strips would pull off the paint.

I got this for my metal front fireplace to help stop the winter draft. It's definitely thick and insulated and the magnets work well. I don't want to put the tape on the fireplace to help with extra sealing, but it still seems to work okay, it doesn't have as tight of a seal without the tape though. The actual cover has pretty visible folded seams/lines from the packaging (being folded up tightly), I'm hoping that those will settle and smooth over time. Overall, it gets the job done.

This is so easy to install, and it looks great. The magnet strength is quite good, but I used the Velcro on 3 sides to attach to the marble surround. I prefer this (larger) shield because I worried the metal box would still let drafts in at the seams where the fire box fits to the marble surround. This is a nice draft stopper; it’s fairly thick although thin enough to easily manage the fitting for proper alignment and coverage. The finishing/stitching is also quite nice. I really do recommend this product. It works.

Easy install and really keeps the cold chimney draft out. Very pleased.

This Fireplace Draft Blanket is just what we needed to cut the draft that leaks through the chimney. It’s thick and insulated with hidden magnets and ‘velcro’ strips around the edges. It’s a bit larger than our fireplace opening, as I expected, but that’s okay because the extra few inches lay flat on the hearth and still reduces any chill. It includes a roll of stick-on ‘velcro’ tape and a number of other fasteners to hold it in place, depending on your set-up. I appreciate that it has magnets, but would have wanted more of them. I wanted to avoid putting the tape on the front of the fireplace but was able to put an entire strip under the top lip of the brick to add extra hold, and can’t be seen. I ultimately added two small strips to the front of the brick in the lower corners of the fireplace opening to hold the lower portion, but they are hardly noticeable. The tape is very tacky and stuck to the brick well. It's left to be determined whether the continual heat over time will loosen the hold.Assuming it will hold up, this appears to have been a good buy for us. Recommend.
