Chassis Saver, silver-aluminum, gallon. A high solids, VOC compliant, single component chassis paint and underbody coating specially formulated to permanently Stop automotive and truck corrosion without the use of primers or topcoats. Apply directly over tightly adhered rust after only marginal surface preparation using a wire brush and or hand scraper to remove loose scale and rust particulate. Optimum results can be achieved by sandblasting. Chassis Saver bonds to blasted and rusty metal to form a rock hard yet flexible, glaze-like, non-porous finish that won't crack, chip, flake or peel. Completely unaffected by road salt, gasoline, Diesel fuel, oils, battery acids, hydraulic fluids, solvents, chemicals, or corrosives.

This is now the third time I have bought a product from Chassis Saver. I’ve used a handful of times to seal rusting metal (follow instruction on can and you’re golden) and have also used for larger hole repairs when used in conjunction with fiberglass. Used with mesh stranded fiberglass I have repaired holes in Aluminium and steel bodies alike up to 8x10”. My first project with chassis saver I followed for 5 years and it looked as good when I sold it as the week I did the project. If you’re looking for a solid material you can count on this is it! I’ve also used Monstaliner produced by Magnet Paints with great success. This brand has earned my loyalty by creating a series of products that I know will work for various projects. My only suggestion would be a different container for this paint, as it adheres metal to metal EXTREMELY well, it can be nearly impossible to get the lid off if you don’t clean the lip and gutter perfectly.

This is some of the roughest toughest doggone awesomest paint you can buy to paint over rust.I just paint everything with it and there isnt any rust. Its incredible.I use the silver mostly.Nothing works as well that ive found so far.Ive been painting stuff regularly for 30 years and this stuff gives Chuck Norris a black eye and then buys him his favorite beer.Nothing but respect over here in my little LaLa Land of paint fumes.Edit 2/2022Still #1!!!...but someFurther notes:as an artist i often mix paints to see what happens. A word of warning, if you mix oil enamel in to color it be prepared for a chemical reaction and a fast set. It will bubble and turn thick, eventually like glue and then solid in the course of a couple/few hours. So if you are an experimenter like me, be prepared to lose a $100 gallon of paint unless you move quickly and have everything prepped out. Once you add something other than Magnet Paint S-8 reducer, things can go sideways on you. So far the dried paint film is still indestructible with additions of colors and oil paint, also M1 mold inhibitor and M1insecticide. The insecticide set it off really quickly. I used some of that recently. I wonder the what chemical catalyst is.Also Do NOt paint out of your original can, pour it into another pain or tray and CLEAN the lip thoroughly and lightly apply a little petroleum jelly to keep the lid from sticking. I have had to cut open many cans of this paint because the lid fuses so tightly from the dried paint.
