The RJ45 couplers are built sturdy. It would take a heck of a yank to get either cable out of one of these, and the cable would probably break first. I haven't tested the throughput on these. (Assuming the two joined cables don't exceed the recommended or maximum Ethernet cable length, I'm not sure how a wire-to-wire coupler could affect throughput, but they are advertised as 1GHz.)

I had a LAN line that kept having intermittent speed loss. After several checks of all the lines it was worth trying to replace one of the couplers.And, this solved the problem.So, if you have signal loss or intermittent speed drops, it may be a bad coupler.These solved my problemThe original coupler was installed by the cable company. It was poorly made and cheap.

When I needed to further extend what was a 30 foot cable that I could not reach the router with due to it being short from it, an extender was needed so I got this so I can use another 30 foot cable to work around things and connect to it. A much needed extension thanks to this rather useful piece of hardware!

El adaptador está hecho de un material muy robusto y es muy simple para conectar los cables. Tan pronto como llamé, la llamada se hizo al instante. Lo único que no hice fue hacer una prueba de velocidad, pero creo que tiene las características descritas.
