I returned this after testing it for about 15 minutes. My intention was to use it to go wireless with my harmonica microphone, but I would be extremely hesitant to use it on stage after my test run. The construction is very cheap. The XLR jacks are so tight that it's difficult taking a 1/4" adaptor off once you've attached it. The range for the wireless signal is nowhere near the advertised distance. I had the signal drop out completely at as little as 20 feet (fully charged), especially if something got between the transmitter and the receiver. When in range, the sound quality was fine, but too many negatives. Spend a few dollars more to get something with some quality.

Ok, for what it is, I think this is a really nifty option for the money. The controls are easy to understand, the device charges quickly, the adapters that come with it seem to work well with my RodeCaster Duo. The inclusion of the XLR to 1/4" was a nice touch, although I didn't need them they do work, and I was able to test them on my interface. The pinapple nubbing makes it easy to grip. The battery life is great, although I don't do marathon sessions with it enough to have the battery go more than 2 bars down. The build quality is on par with other mic equipment I have, not quite as heavy but it does engender you to hold onto it. The only thing I would suggest is get your own mic on this, the condenser that comes with it is not the best. It overdrives easy, it drops off easy as well, keeping it at the right distance isn't easy to do. The sound quality is ok with that but it gets much better with a better mic, I tried this with an SM-48S, a Rode PodMic, an Elgato Wave DX, and even a no-frills FiFine mic. It sounded much better with any of these mics than the one it came with. HOWEVER, it never hurts to have a "backup" just in case, so don't throw that condenser out.The enclosed splitter for the charging is perfect, and you just need a cheap power brick to plug it into or a free USB port for charging.I know this will drive an inline lifter with a dynamic mic (I tried it and it worked), and I could see this as an easy option for a drum or guitar, but you'll have to monitor the signal as I did get a very minor buzz sometimes that I had to use a noisegate on, but I'm still happy with it. I could REALLY see this as something you could use in a kitchen stream with a SM-48 and a desk mic stand! No cables to trip up on and easily portable!

Overall, this is a useful piece of equipment that does a decent job and sounds good for when a cable just isn't going to work. It's also pretty easy to just jump right in and start using it. The only inconvenience so far has been that each half of the device needs to be charged separately, but that's completely expected.Unfortunately, the build quality is very, very cheap. There is a lot of cheap plastic, and the XLR connections feel really lightweight. Even though the device works well for me, I'm not sure how much longevity I'll get out of it. I'm using in my home studio, so it's not a big deal for me, but I would avoid using this on the road or in environments where you'll be putting your gear through a lot of stress.

I like the idea of having a wireless transmitter system. However, the first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was that it looked like a toy. The sound quality of the small microphone it came with is between decent and poor, with some noticeable audio crackling. When I connected it to my microphone, the connection felt weak. The wireless adapter did not securely click into the microphone. That concerned me. Although it still worked, the sound quality was only just barely acceptable. I felt that if I moved the microphone too vigorously, the adapter might fall off. This device might be fun for kids to play with, but for professional use, I believe the price is too high. For those of you keeping score, here's the breakdown:Design- CConstruction- CAudio Quality- DEffectiveness- DValue- DOverall Grade: D+

From the get-go, I was not too impressed. The box obviously could not close from the warehouse so the sticker was a stark foretelling of the product within.Despite the exterior, I was eager to see how the wireless mic kit held up in a practical use.As I pulled everything out to assess the contents, I noticed the transmitter and receiver were made of cheap plastic and did not seem high quality. While handling the receiver, there was a rattle sound coming within that sounded like pieces of broken plastic.I connected and powered everything up to my sound system. Not to my surprise, the quality was sub par to the many other wireless mic kits I have reviewed. It maybe serves to allow kids to enjoy using a wireless mic kit, but I definitely wouldn't rely on using this in the professional environment I work in.
