This unit is poorly calibrated. Off by a factor of 10 sometimes. 2 days in the lab with crazy results until I checked it. Into the trash it goes.

Will work perfectly fine if you are using chemicals dissolved in water. But be careful about the types of liquids you use with it. Liquids must be the same consistency. If some are thicker, it will not measure the same. If too thick, it will be terrible, just not work at all.Ergonomics and design is good. Just make sure you will be using it for very liquid (not thick) and all have the same consistency.

My only issue with this is that sometimes the droplets do not detach themselves from the end of pippette immediately after pushing the plunger down. I would recommend cleaning this with pure water after each and every use as I imagine a film buildup could occur given its construction.

Really like these pipettor’s. I use them for dosing fertilizers and microbes and such for my indoor grow. This one works very well. Has a solid build to it and seems to be spot on on its measurement. Gives you a ton of pipettes too. Doubt I will ever come close to running out of them lol. Really a great product.

I wanted to get a new hobby, so I began growing gourmet mushrooms at my house. Now that I have been doing it for a while, there were certain things I wanted to try out, and pipetting liquid culture into substrate was on my list of things to do! Only the pros have some thing like this, but at this price point, you can’t lose!I actually have a few things for my at home lab from this company, and they all appear to be very good quality. This thing is actually autoclavable, and I have not done that yet, but plan to once I really get things up and running. Either way, it’s worked perfectly for my uses so far, and if anything changes I’ll definitely come back and edit this post, but I don’t foresee any issues. Definitely recommend checking this out!!

If you do professional research, and have pharmaceutical money or generous grants to burn through, by all means spend $5,000 on three pipettors. For the rest of us who need to dispense very small, very accurate volumes of liquid, finding more affordable equipment is a necessity. I'm happy to tell you that you have. The instruction flyer packed in the box doesn't tell you everything you want to know, but DOES include a QR code that sends you to the full manual. This includes a detailed calibration procedure that doesn't require any special measuring equipment. It also explains what to do with the little PCR tube with a wad of grease in it. And to my utter delight, the manual is written in perfect English. The only thing the manual doesn't clearly address is what part of the pipettor can be autoclaved, if any. But at $36 for a piece of accurate measuring equipment, you could throw a bunch of these in the trash before you've spent more than the cost of one that's compatible with your fancy pressure cooker. And don't forget that it comes with FIVE HUNDRED TIPS!Buy.

A certificate of accuracy is included and I doubt I can test any more accurately with home water and scale. The 5000ul pipettor is no comparison to brand names' built and look. But the drawing up and dispensing felt smooth and a good amount of resistance.I am not sure if the included tips are autoclavable and no rack is included. Realistically, any sterile liquid transfer more than 1 ml should be done with serological pipette in a hood anyway. So, this should be fine for general home use.I can't tell if the seal will worn out quickly. The price is very competitive and if you need one of these for some home project, i think this total package definitely worth a good look.

Easy to use, accurate, cost effective. Wish it had a padded storage case, but at the price point it can't be beaten. I use it to load samples into the rotors in my at-home Vetscan VS2.
