what u need to know on a sportster is u have to buy a single fire coil and wire it directly the instructions will tell u how to do it this is a great product

I wired this up directly in place of the factory module on a 2003 Sportster 1200C. The ignition can be used on a lot of different bikes so the wiring with the ignition is made to accommodate different applications. I chose to do a direct wire to wire replacement, therefore had a couple unused wires I tucked away for tach, etc.. I had to buy some Deutsch connectors at the Harley shop ($5) since I couldn't be sure of the size when looking elsewhere. The bike is mostly stock other than exhaust, air box, and the carb rejet. Ever since new I would get the usual "cough" and backfire out the carb, especially when cold. This completely went away with the new ignition. I was actually amazed at that. Great value. I hope it lasts a long, long time, so I don't end up pushing the bike home again!

I’ve had this installed on my 2003 big bear chopper for A little over 4 years now. My bones a 100 cubic inch V twin. Great single fire ignition.

The bike runs better then it ever has before. I replaced an older electronic ignition which failed from another manufacture, with this one. The bike runs great and has solid power throw out the rpm range. I easy to install took about 30 minutes to make up the conections and cut the wires to the length i preferred.

This ignition module was installed on a 2000 sportster in the dual fire mode. It works very well and was an easy install. It works as well as the Crane Hi-4 that I previously used and was a lot cheaper. You can spend more but why?
