This is a great set for breaking in a new softball glove. I also used it in my kids tball gloves, but used a tball instead of the wooden softball tool.

Complete kit for your softball needs! This kit has literally everything you could need in order to protect your softball gear. Awesome conditioner for your glove along with a cloth to apply it with and mallet to shape your glove as well. Very high quality product and super easy to use. 5/5 definitely recommend!!

I purchased a new $300 dollar Rawlings glove for my 10U daughter who plays club softball. This glove is made from very high quality leather and a bear to break it in! This kit has made it a much easier process. I've softened and broke gloves in by heating/steaming previously and though this has worked I feel it kind of ruins the glove. This kit has made the glove soft and pliable while maintaining a nice pocket for catching/fielding. Not just folding the glove flat when you close it which is what I have run into using other methods.. I highly recommend the kit!

My youngest daughter started softball and obviously needed a mitt, which meant it needed to be broken in. It has been quite some time since I have broken in a mitt, as I wasn't a huge baseball guy. This kit was absolutely perfect. It has everything I needed to get her glove broken in quickly. Plus, Rhino Wax's website is a wealth of knowledge and awesome instructions to make breaking in your mitt that much easier.The mallet is solid—SOLID! I remember having to use a ball, but the mallet is so much better and can double as a "ball" when wrapping it to help it form. The glove oil and glove conditioner are both high-quality products that are well-packaged and presented. If that is not enough, you also get a microfiber towel for the oil and a brush to rub in oil and conditioner. This is a plug-and-play kit that is beyond high quality!This would be an excellent gift for a young kid getting their first mitt, a seasoned professional, or a dad just trying to look like he knows what he is doing!Absolutely recommended, and Dad approved!

The Rhino Ultimate Softball Glove Break in Kit is a three-step process; you start by apply the liquid Glove oil using the included soft, microfiber rag, letting that dry for 12 - 24 hours. Next, apply the Glove Conditioner that is provided in stick form, like some deodorants. It’s recommended to massage the Glove Conditioner into the leather with the dauber brush or by hand. Personally, I find cleaning and conditioning my gloves relaxing; I’ll do it in front of the tv, so I enjoy the natural and ingredients of the Rhino Glove Break in Kit.The initial Glove Oil application removes dirt and oxidized leather, while the Glove Conditioner does just that, conditions, restoring pliability and rehydrating the leather, leaving it with a natural clean leather smell, looking richly moisturized and ready to be pounded into submission by the ample Rhino Softball Mallet.I took Rhino’s advice when I ordered this kit, and ‘stopped using my baseball size mallet for my softball glove;’ and it does make a difference. Those small folds within the glove’s palm and at the base of the pocket get hammered out for a smoother shape in line with a softball’s size. In addition, as a consequence of its larger size and weight, it takes much less pounding than when using a baseball size mallet.The two treatments included in the Rhino Ultimate Softball Break in Kit, the Oil and the Conditioner, are superb at penetrating the glove leather and introducing the pliability necessary to form the pocket and webbing to the desired shape, made more convenient by the included Mallet. Moreover, the ingredients are all natural. The Glove Oil is made from Castor Oil and Vitamin E and the Glove Conditioner is composed of Beeswax, Castor Oil, Shea Butter and vitamin E. All good stuff, causing no harm to the environment or you.
