I like that this tripod is lightweight and easy to set up. It's very portable, which makes it a great choice for my old Canon point-and-shoot.I was hoping to also use it as a phone tripod but that's going to take a different phone holder than the one I already had or maybe some MacGyver'ing, because there is no way to mount a phone directly on the tripod. While overall I love that it's lightweight, I don't think I'd recommend a large or heavy camera. I've also noticed that when it's windy, my photos tend to have noticeable motion blur, especially night and other long exposure shots, because it's not heavy enough to remain motionless in a good wind.

Not for a telescope or anything that weighs more than half a pound. It's a flimsy joke. It will hold a phone for group pictures but I wouldn't put an expensive camera on it.

I had another tripod that was a combo selfie-stick and designed for use with a phone. It did a good job holding the phone steady, but the angles were not adjustable. The Golden Cicada Tripod has a base that is adjustable to any angle and there is even a level attached to the base. It folds up and you get a drawstring case to carry it. (In order to use it with your phone, you may need to get a separate phone adapter.)It’s not a heavy-duty tripod. It’s lightweight, which makes it perfect for carrying along to all your events. If you’ve ever been stuck taking pictures or video with your phone and your arms get tired holding your phone steady, you will appreciate that you have this in your bag or car. This is also perfect for family or group gatherings when you want a photo of everyone, including yourself. It’s very useful.

I ordered this for using with my phone, specifically for astrology shots. This should work perfect for that, it's very lightweight and compact. The picture was a little misleading, I originally thought it included the phone mount, but it only includes the stand with the standard tripod adapter. Easy enough to get a phone holder. I would use caution if you plan on using this for something much heavier than a phone as it's just not built for it. All parts expand / swivel smoothly, and does exactly what I need.

...but I can't give it 5 Stars when it was tossed inside a large box among the rest of my order. Thankfully it wasn't damaged even though it was wrapped in a THIN, FLIMSY carrying sack. Also, it did not come with ANY instructions!?!?! I've never owned a Tripod before so instructions/tips/suggestions on how to set it up for the best pictures would have been nice.Still, it's cute!
