Used against salt. Other than like red n tacky machine grease, this is the only stuff that really can prevent corrosion. I use it instead of antiseize on our undersea equipment. It is expensive, but, it doesn't take much for it to work so it lasts a long time (this big cup) and it actually works.

This is a life saver for preventing stuck bolts in the marine environment. Best product I have found, I tracked this down after reading many good reviews, and I am glad to have it. Wish I knew about this product years ago. I use it on Stainless steel bolts that are threaded into aluminum on saltwater. Without this product, the dissimilar metal parts will quickly corrode together and become stuck, and I had several bolts break off in the threads when removing them, damaging the parts.
