I love this thing. I absolutely HATE manual can openers. They suck so bad and I keep going through them but this works so well! You just put it on top of the can and keep doing what you need to do and it's done in 15 seconds. Easy to use. Also it opens cans without it being to sharp!

I received this item in a timely fashion and I must say it is the best can opener I ever bought. As described works fast, no sharp edges, easy to operate and very quiet. Unit is made in China for those interested. All in all very happy with this purchase

Works great on standard cans. Easy to set on can correctly. So far, I've had to use the attached lid pry tool on every can as the magnet isn't strong enough to pop the lid off. Love that it stops and releases itself. Like this one much better than another brand that we destroyed trying to open a huge restaurant-sized can. The lavender color is very pretty. Great for people with arthritic hands.

It is heavy and maybe that is necessary. It is cordless. Seems to work but does require a bit of downward pressure to make the lid comes up with the magnet. We are seniors so pushing down was already hard. We do like the edge of the lid not being sharp.

The Canslab Automatic Can Opener is a fantastic addition to my kitchen! It effortlessly cuts along the sides of the can, leaving no sharp edges—making it much safer than traditional can openers. One of the best features is that it allows you to put the lid back on, which is super convenient for short-term storage.It works great on most cans, though it does struggle a bit with #10 cans. That said, it still manages to power through them, which is impressive given their size. The hands-free operation is a huge plus, and it’s easy to use with just the push of a button.For the price, this is a solid, reliable can opener that makes opening cans effortless and safe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hassle-free kitchen tool!

Pros: Charges somewhat quickly. Very easy to use; simply place the entire can opener facing the inside of the can, align the circular blade to grip the edge and press. Press the button to stop. Also has a magnet to help lift lid and to adhere to can (issues below.)Has a built in lid detacher on the bottom of the can opener with the push of a lever. Battery lasts for quite a while.Cons: Can opener doesn't automatically stop once the lid is open. Some lids won't come off with the strong magnet (apparently it's due to glue on certain cans.) Switch to make lid opener come out can be a little hard to push.

It opens cans and it does it really well. In fact, opening cans now can be fun!I've had a stroke that has left me with slight motor control issues with my left hand and some vision issues. I was quickly becoming very frustrated with a manual can opener having a lot of issues getting it started on the can.I reluctantly purchased this Canslab opener and can't be happier. I've opened dozens of different cans including the tuna cans that were most challenging with my cheap manual opener. The clean cut cans without any sharp edges is great. I can feel safe in allowing the cats to eat from the cans making it very convenient and less clean up.After hearing my mom has issues now with opening cans, I've just purchased a second for her. I'm excited to give it to her. It is just super cool to place the opener on top of the can, press a button and watch it go.As an added bonus, I find the cans can easily be recapped and placed in the fridge. It works well with hot dog chili that may take a few meals to consume.

When this works, it works like a charm.HOWEVER.... My second can that I attempted to open failed miserably (and so did my third). Also... I would not categorize this as a smooth edge when the opening is complete. I have concerns about the safety of these cans.The first can worked well. The opener buzzed around the edge of a large can of tomatoes without a HUGE racket. The opener lifted the lid easily. The edge of the can, though, was NOT what I would call "smooth" or "safe". It was pretty rough, and I wouldn't recommend touching it or going anywhere near it. I was afraid to recycle it, so I ended up wrapping the edge of the can before discarding it in the regular garbage.That being said, the LID had a smoother edge than what was left by a traditional opener. When I recycle, though, I clean out the can and lid, and then I put the lid INSIDE the can to protect from the sharp edges. The lid does not fit inside the can in this case, so I worry that the sharp edges are exposed and pose a safety risk. This is not going to help me with my efforts to recycle.Although I was hopeful about the overall function of this opener, I was quickly disappointed by the second can I attempted to open. This can had a very SLIGHT uneven edge, and the opener just could not handle it. I spent about 10 minutes trying to troubleshoot before pulling out my older electric opener, which buzzed around the edge with no problem.On to the third can...This was a can of tomato paste. Because tomato paste is so thick, I open both ends of the can and then I push it through to get the most out of the can. I have been doing this for more years than I care to think about, and I have NEVER had an issue. However... This opener would NOT open the bottom of the can despite several attempts. Again... I had to pull out the electric opener to get the job done.Bottom line.... Great when it works, but not reliable for all situations.

Great can opener. Worked great for about 8 months. Held a charge and easily opened all cans. All of a sudden, it stopped working even when fully charged. It would start to cut for about 5 seconds, then shut off.Big shout out to CanSlab! I appreciate the replacement unit. This unit seems much more powerful than the first. It cuts through all cans, even those will little uneven rims. Loving this can opener every time I use it!
