I recently purchased the Ultra Fitness Gear Plyo Box and was extremely disappointed with the product's condition upon arrival. Despite its high price, the box appeared to have been previously used and possibly repaired before being resold. After spending an hour assembling it, I was further disheartened to discover its poor quality. I reached out to the seller and haven't received a response back.

I weigh 220# and found this to be solid for box jumps and step ups. Also, this was relatively easy to put together.

On the expensive side for a wood template. But not bad. Note: for all the reviews saying it’s missing inner bracing, there is no bracing for the small box, it’s not needed. Plenty sturdy. Wish I woulda got the bigger one, but the small one is nice. Recommend.

Like other reviews I couldn't assemble the box because the screw packet was missing. Maybe I could find the right hardware locally but that would risky and take a bunch of time, it's easier to return and get a refund.

We use this box multiple times per week for plyometrics, stepups, single leg RDL to snatch, and other dymanic moves. It's very sturdy, even when the combined weight exceeds 350 lbs.Building this was a breeze. I used an impact wrench to speed up the process, and added Gorilla Glue for a more secure assembly. The diecut pieces fit together snugly. The internal cross-supports are a nice touch and seem to contribute to its overall sturdiness. The finish is smooth and the screws are inset so as not to snag on the floor or your shoes. The handle cutouts are a bit larger than necessary, but I haven't found that to cause any issues. This is a fairly heavy-duty box, and its packaging might be a bit inadequate. It arrived with some tears in the cardboard box, but the nothing was damaged inside. We bought size large that, for us, is the most versatile.

The box arrived well packaged and was fairly easy to assemble. Once assembled it is very sturdy and held up to a cross country move just fine! The box itself is covered in a non-slip pattern which I find helpful especially when I’m burning through a hard workout and sweating all over. I like that it features multiple heights depending on what side you use. Overall this was a great purchase!

Amazing bang for your buck. The quality is great! Very easy to set up and put together. Even comes with the tools for it.Glad I got the box with the grips, really makes a difference and worth the additional cost

Diesel approved. I like the traction film. Easy to assemble. Took 5 ish minutes. I used a T handle 4mm to speed up process. I think it would be miserable to install with tool they provide. Looks really cool and I do care what my home gym looks like. Slides on wood surface more than I would have expected. I wouldn’t do box jumps on it without it being on rubber. Thankfully we have that in our home gym...I was hoping to use it in the wood floor hallway. Maybe I will buy a piece of rubber for hallway. The corners are smooth so I appreciate them doing that.

Although plain plyometric boxes are cut neatly I still had a hard time paying $50 for a wood box. SO this one was more to my liking because although it was slightly more expensive, they at least added a coating that I could not have made myself. The box looks great once assembled. I am giving it 4 stars for the following reasons:• 2 of the pieces were scratched and scuffed. This is not a big deal because i'll be jumping on the box anyway but still expect a new product to be packaged better and arrive in a "new and clean condition." It was quite dusty and I had to wipe down all the pieces.• As other reviewers have mentioned you will need a drill for completing some of the holes (for me it was 2)• you will need sandpaper to smooth out rough places and round off the corners & edges after assembly• you will need an hex (or allen pack). It would be tough to screw in all the screws with the provided tool, so something a handle will help a lot. That said, this was still fun to assemble and I expected the little bit of extra work involved. So no big deal. The black coating does provide some extra grip. But I would suggest only using this box on a rubber gym floor with sneakers on. Don't use it with socks on carpet. This is workout equipment that should only be used in a proper workout area.
