I used the "Ultrasonic Gun Cleaner - Makes 8 Gallons - Tillbrook Concentrated Ultrasonic Gun Cleaner" to clean pistols in my generic amazon/harbor freight ultrasonic cleaner. I tried this solution on a new in box pistol, which usually is coated inside in out with a thin but sticky shipping oil coating. I also used it on a previously cleaned pistol that had several hundred rounds through it. The solution was run for 15 minutes on the highest setting, and the pistol was rinsed with tap water and air blown to remove all water. Prior to re-oiling, both guns were thoroughly inspected, and both guns were clean and had that dried-out finish look of a pistol with zero-oil residue left (similar to that matt finish look after you brake-clean car parts. This solution works well, and I recommend it's use for pistol cleaning in an ultra-sonic cleaner. I plan to reuse the solution several times before switching and will update if the solution is less effective with subsequent uses.

Great gun cleaner. This is concentrate so it does require mixing with water; however, that means you get a lot more than the size of this container.I like using this because I was worried about damaging my valuable weapons, but this was safe for all parts. I used it in an ultrasonic cleaner and was very pleased. I suggest using it outdoors because it does have an odor.

First off, I love that this product is made in the USA. That's a selling point for me. This is a great gun cleaning solution that works as described to give my guns a nice, through cleaning. My guns have never looked or felt better. I am impressed and woukd get this again.

not safe for all gun finishes....This is more of a warning for using an ultrasonic cleaner on any gun parts that you truly care about. I can't guarantee that the finish on my choke tubes (invector ds from browning) failed because of the cleaner solution versus the ultrasonic cleaner. But it's a very clear warning that you should clean parts one at a time when testing

Follow the instructions and it works like it should. I keep the cleaner solution temperature closer to the 140 mark on the machine dial, other than that, it just works.

I recently had the opportunity to try the Tillbrook Concentrated Ultrasonic Gun Cleaner (128 oz, makes 8 gallons) through the Amazon Vine Program. The product is marketed as a powerful solution for cleaning guns, pistols, and gun parts, and advertises its safety for all gun finishes and ability to remove oil and grease. After using it, I can confirm that it performs as described in the listing. It does effectively clean gun parts in an ultrasonic cleaner. However, I have to be honest and say that it didn't blow me away. It works just about as effectively as other brands I've used in the past. While the ultrasonic bath does loosen the grime, I still found myself needing to do some manual scrubbing and detail work afterward, which is typical for this type of cleaning.Essentially, this cleaner doesn't offer any significant advantage over other options I've tested. It gets the job done, but without any particularly noticeable improvements. One positive aspect I do appreciate is that it's MADE IN THE USA. This is a factor that matters to me, and I like knowing that I'm supporting domestic manufacturing. In Summary:The Tillbrook Ultrasonic Gun Cleaner is a functional and effective product. It does what it claims to do regarding cleaning and is safe for use on various gun finishes. However, it doesn't stand out in terms of performance compared to other brands on the market. The "Made in the USA" aspect is a plus, but overall, it's a decent, if unremarkable, gun cleaning solution. If price is similar to other brands this would be a fine choice, but it's not a product I would specifically seek out.

Overall this is a good cleaner, although I feel it is somewhat expensive for the average performance you get from it. If you are cleaning metals that require this particular formula, it may be an attractive option. Ours was one of the homes that burned down in the California wildfires and this was helpful in cleaning the body, slide, and pins. The springs required replacement but I was able to get them cleaned up enough to be functional if not beautiful. My oils and grease were baked in so it did not remove everything, but a well used firearm will essential have baked on oils, too. If you are cleaning fine firearms or antiques, this for sure is your choice. It is effective and gentle on steel. I assume this works well with aluminum alloys, too. I am happy with it. I do wish the price were more affordable.
