I finally decided to do something to eliminate having to regularly power wash my concrete driveway to remove griddle and grill grease spills. This under grill Mat is doing the job very nicely. It is adequate thick to age well but thin enough to roll either my grill or griddle onto it. It is rather large so covers a good area. It can be left outside but I keep my grills out of the weather so when going to use I put down this Mat and roll either the grill or griddle onto it. So far haven’t dropped any coals on it but nice to know it’s fireproof. My driveway is now staying clean.

I'll be frank and say this has not been tested too much. I try not to drop burning items when I can. Though what has been dropped on it has not caused issues. It has protected the floor and kept up with the light abuse I've thrown at it. So far this has been a solid addition!

I don’t usually don’t do many reviews unless I really like something or feel ripped off but I really liked this ember mat. I originally bought the ember mat for under my grill on my deck but ended up bringing it in my cabin & trying it on top my parkay floor which was coming off the floor do to a roof leak. I have a wood burner In my log cabin My floor had burn marks from 20 years of use, the floor was also buckled up from a roof leak so I ripped up all the loose flooring & covered it with the ember mat, I really like how it covered the plywood so I bought 2 more to cover all the sections that were loose Hey it looks great! Someday I may replace the floor but probably no time soon. It’s been on the floor for about a week, we’ve never tripped on it, the mat is thin it lays flat on my floor & says it will protect it from hot embers, haven’t had Anything hot as of yet, but I’m sure it will work. Just say I had to take a hot log out or hot embers fall on the mat, I’m sure I would be able to roll it up & run it out the door & throw the embers on the driveway. Probably b able to wipe the mat down & reuse it without a problem. There were ashes on the mat which is normal, burning firewood in your house is very messy. I swept the mat off, it still laid flat with no problems. I wiped a small section with a piece of paper towel, it cleaned up nice & looks nice I’m sure I can wipe it down & it would look new again. Great value for my Money, works for me!

We decided to use this mat indoors near the wood stove for an add a layer of protection from embers that might fall out onto the floor. This is a peace of mind purchase that has already provided comfort knowing that our home is safer with it's use. We folded this mat in half due to the space limitations in our living room, and it works perfectly as excepted. The mat has a "sicky" feel to it, which helps it stay in place which I think is a positive feature, but at the same time this makes it a little more difficult to clean. I was hoping to be able to vacuum the tiny shavings, bark, and splinters that fall off near the opening to the stove, but it's thin design gets sucked along with the dust. Nothing major, I took it outside and shook the mat there and was back to enjoying the warmth soon enough.
