I used carb cleaner to remove any greasiness on the carb and inside of the filter where it slides on. Tightened it slowly until it was good and snug. My only gripe is how big it is around. If it was just a bit skinnier, id find it to be the perfect ft

The item claims to be for a XR70, it is for an 50CC honda. THe filter has a 1" opening and the xr70 needs a 1.25". The worst part is that they want to charge me to ship it back when clearly it was a wrong part that does not fit the XR70.

Product slipped off all the time when riding. Had to make a cut in it to slide on properly and for the tiger clap to properly fasten the air filter to the carb. This wasn’t worth $40 maybe send a spare to make up for disappointment.

I purchased this UNI - 1" ID 2-Stage Foam Clamp On Air-Filter to replace my old one. Exact same as the last one. This also does not fit a XR/CRF-70 Pitbike carburetor, no way. I have always trusted UNI Foam Air-filters on all my off-road machine & they are the only ones I use & prefer to use. If you see dust or ride in dust, you sure better be using a UNI air-filter & not a K&N style crap air-filter designed to ruin an engine. I totally recommend this product to anyone.

Purchased this product for a 2004 CRF50Product was as advertised and works quite well. Just make sure you pre-oil the filter before using (filter is shipped dry).Install was pretty straight forward, just make sure the filter is seated on the carb as far as it will go and do not over-tighten. If you over-tighten it will pop off, so don't go overboard. Also, carb adjustment will be necessary. The stock airbox a crap sponge is pretty restrictive, this filter does away with the airbox completely and lets the air flow 100x better, just make sure you adjust accordingly. And as for the breather tube for the crankcase, I just let the hose vent to atmosphere. There is no need to re-circulate it back into the engine, its not like there is emissions on atv/dirt bikes.-- on a side note, because you eliminate the stock airbox with this filter, it makes working on the carb and engine a lot easier. It is a royal pain to take the airbox off and on. Now, I don't have to worry about it. Cleaning the carb is a lot less tedious now.
