These are beautiful and well made. These went thru the dishwasher like a champ. These do not heat up in the microwave which is essential. They are heavier than I thought they would be but not too heavy to carry around with food. I love the colors! These will look great for Sushi Night with our wood chopsticks and serving plates. My Husband always gives me a headache because he thinks we have too many dishes even He agreed these will be great for Sushi Date Night! I also like the ability to put them in the oven if necessary. I love these plates! I am happy I ordered them and think they are well worth the price.

Here are the details:1. [PACKAGING AND BREAKAGE]: The plates arrived in a very thick Styrofoam container, but there was only a thin protective film between them. As a result, one of the plates arrived broken.2. [GLAZE VARIATION]: Surprisingly, the set seems to consist of two different glaze variations. Two plates have a much darker glaze than the other two. I had expected the darker glaze, which would match my existing dishes, but unfortunately, one of the darker plates also broke during shipping.3. [WEIGHT AND SIZE]: These plates are quite heavy, and while they have a slight lip (great for saucier foods), their weight and size make them less practical for everyday use. I’ll likely repurpose the surviving plate as a serving tray.4. [OVERALL IMPRESSION]: It’s challenging to review an item that falls short of expectations. If you appreciate the eclectic look of two different color dishes within the same scheme and don’t mind the risk of breakage during shipping, these plates might suit your taste.In summary, my experience with the UNICASA plates was mixed, and I’m back on the dish market. Unfortunately, as much as I like the aesthetic of many of the dishes in the UNICASA line, I don't think I want to risk receiving another shipment of broken dishes.

These plates look just as good in person as they do in the photos, and I really love the color. They have a solid, well-made feel, with an even glaze and are dishwasher-safe. My only concern is that they feel a bit more fragile, and the ridge on the bottom is rough, so you'll need to be careful when stacking them to avoid scratching the surface of the plates.

I'm feeling pretty negative on these because, while they are quite large and pretty when they survive, I think your odds of getting them intact are low. The plates are separated only by a thin sheet to prevent scratches, then the whole 4 have some styrofoam around them, but not enough to hold them in place. They jostle, and this jostling box is put into an even larger box with zero padding so that it bounces about. This is probably why it breaks since it is impossible for the shipper to immobilize the inner box during shipping and handling.If you want to risk it, then the plates are pretty nice if they survive intact. I feel like if I tried to ship a replacement, though, I may end up worse off next time if fewer of them survive the shipping process. I'll just take the two and consider myself fortunate they didn't all break.

I love these plates. They are beautiful and perfect size for lunch or breakfast.They are stoneware so they are a little bit heavy.I would definitely recommend.
