This is easy to keep in my tennis bag to be able to check the net height (or adjust the height) if necessary. It folds like an old construction contractor's measuring stick if you are old enough to remember those. It folds back and forth into 6" sections. It has a lip at the top to hang on the netMy complaint it that when unfolded, the sections do not snap into place to make it 100% straight. When you open it and try to get the sections in a straight line, most of the time they remain slightly crooked, making it a jagged / curvy shape. Maybe I am anal, but if I am taking the trouble to adjust the net, I want it exact. :-) My second suggestion for improvement would be to make the top lip a U shape instead of simply L shaped, so it would actually fit over the net without falling off.I have seen some people with a chain net measurer that did clip onto the net with a small weight on the other end to make it hand straight. I like that better than this one, but the only one I saw was $30 vs $10 for this. So you can decide if it is worth it to you. I obviously decided it wasn't and this would be good enough. That is still my assessment. The other would be better, but it isn't worth 3 x the price. This one is good enough, and I am glad to have it in my bag, when I am not sure if the net is the right height or not. This is a "true" 3-Star review - it is good, not great and definitely could be better, but I am still glad I bought it.

This item is very useful to maintain the height of the center of the net for a tennis court. Definitely easier than using measuring tape.

Pretty flimsy, you have to mess with it to make it perfectly straight. Spring for the extra cash and get the chain kind.

The net check is fine for measuring nets, although somewhat flimsy. It folds out like an accordion, but you have to make sure it's fully extended for accurate measurement.
