I bought this stole for the class I was student teaching in to draw on it for me to wear at graduation. It is the same length as the one I received from my university so it did not look weird when layered at all!

My daughter works at an elementary and pre-school for part of her senior year. We purchased this and had the littles sign it for her. It was amazing.

My daughter just graduated from college and had her students use their thumb prints to make a heart with paint and wrote their names in the heart. It worked out perfectly! I'd suggest the longer one. We had to return the first one, as it wasn't long enough. Keep that in mind.

Cap was bent and was not usable. Gown is otherwise usable, but material is very thick and scratchy. Makes it very uncomfortable to wear.

I'll be the first in-depth review to help someone out. This stole came very fast, folded, and in plastic wrapping. (I got the white one.) The stole is a stole lol. Nothing more or less. Yes, you can customize it to your liking. If your stole comes with an open hole on the side, don't think it's a defect. Companies do that for wholesale just in case companies want to sew in their brand's tag.Edit: 5/15/23I did decide to measure this stole and it was 28’/a little bit over 28’ on either sides. On me, at 5’2, the stole falls to about a little past my hips. This is still a good stole and it does come fast. You can customize it and it will take.
