This is the fuel gasket that gets pushed into the fuel tank and then an exit nozzle is inserted into it. The old one on our CRAFTSMEN YTD 4000 had eroded so bad that it was leaking. We also bought, on AMAZON, the exit nozzle that fits through the opening into the fuel tank. Once we installed everything and put it all back together, we were good to go.Just a note here. These fuel tanks are very EXPENSIVE, make sure you are not replacing the tank when all you need are these parts, (you get two of these but you only need one). FIVE STARS for a relatively easy fix.

i mic'd then for exact fit, put them on, then mowed. 2 weeks later gas tank was empty so i put gas in tank. these had leaked all the gas out & hardened & shrank after they dried. they cracked taking them off. these are junk.

Grommets last about a week before they shrink and harden and no longer keep a seal. Thought the first one might have been a fluke, so I installed the second grommet and after a week it started leaking as well. Unless the gas pump is incorrect, 10% ethanol or less is being used.
