Actually works amazingly well. Had a wobbly umbrella caster, didn't want to replace the base just the tube. Worked perfectly.

Was able to use this in my DC America umbrella base I purchased on Amazon in 2013. Seems pretty solid and a great value ( so long as it lasts a few years). Amped to be able to reuse the umbrella base. Note I believe the bolt is 15 mm , I ended up using a standard chainsaw wrench to remove the old bolt. New one you should be able to just spin on.
