This is a good bracket for mounting an HT in a car or anywhere else you can put a 1" ball mount. It's mostly metal except for the plastic ball, so it should hold up well.

I've ordered a couple of these in the past and expected it to be the cheap plastic products I have received previously. I was pleasantly surprised.It's almost solid aluminum entirely and very well made. Unlike the plastic mounts this one seems to have a better grip in the socket and therefore is less likely to move with vibration.I have it holding my Midland micro mobile handset in a very rough and tumble application in it is holding up very well. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

This is a well-made universal bracket for HTs or other belt-clip devices. It is a 3-part device that comes partially assembled. The belt-clip has a foam backing to keep it from sliding and rattling around and is pre-mounted to the flat plate with two machine screws and the back of the plate has a 1/4-20 screw thread that accepts the 1" (25mm) ball mount it comes with. This is fully compatible with the RAM Mounts type B 1" mounting system.

This product works for the intended purpose and fits all of my radios, but why does it have the "brand" name printed on the product? It looks terrible. I was hoping that is was just a sticker or that it would wipe off with acetone, but I fixed it with some sandpaper and spray paint.

I've got quite a few RAM Mount points around the truck and getting more into radios.This is exactly what I needed.The ridges make sure it doesn't move around.The slot lets me put a hand set or clip a handheld radio to it.Now I've got what I need right where I need it.
