Although I don't like the white color and chrome, which will pick up hand grease and dirt over time, it's very durable and metal. I have plans to paint and seal it in the summer months to make it less of an eyesore.Functionally, it works great. I can't stress enough to avoid plastic connections and go with metal ones like this one (the ONLY metal option I could find.)

Absolute junk hardware. Eight mounting screws are supplied. Six of those screws head's broke off during installation. I even pre-drilled the holes. After the first two broken head's one would think I would have learned. In the end I removed the supplied screws and dug around in my personal supply. Three of the four screws that hold the handle to the screen were broken off. I had one screw holding the handle to the screen door frame. The three broken screws were hanging on by a burr. I had to remove the handle and move it down into new holes. If you buy this junk you'll need to supply better mounting screws that don't break on installation.

Bought a new screen storm door...but knew if we pushed on screen it would fail.... going outside with hands full you have to push on the door...this works great stops any pushing on screen
