I bought the 31.8mm butterfly handlebar, it came with foam tubes and a couple of plastic plugs. The handlebar itself is sturdy to be aluminium, has a nice smooth finish and it fit perfectly. The foam tubes are good length. I replaced the plugs with some metal ones and taped the foam. I could'nt be happier with the result

Bought the handle bar to replace the one that came on my ebike. It was a flat bar, and was very uncomfortable on long rides. This bar pretty much resolved all that. I'm super happy with it.Solid, and light. No issues at all so far.

These butterfly bars are "bang for buck". They are aluminum (6061), which is somewhat lightweight (well, more light than steel), and the same material most entry and mid level bikes are made of. These bars worked exactly as expected; I can now can ride somewhat upright and comfortable, and when I need to be a bit more "arrow", or have more weight on the front part of the bike, I can lean forward onto the front bars. If you are looking for a light handlebar with multiple positions, this bar is for you.

I love bicycling but an old wrist injury was limiting my riding. I put these butterfly handlebars on my new ebike commuter and what an incredible difference. My wrist doesn’t hurt and the bars give your hand multiple regions to use. I will use the foam grips for a while before moving to padded bar tape. The 90 degree upward angle simulates the former hoods area of road bike handlebars. I am riding more upright. So I may in time upgrade the seat post, as seen on some YouTube videos on butterfly handlebars. Well worth the purchase, now it is time for a ride.

I wasn't very sure about these, so when I bought them I also bought a pair of individual drops for my original handlebars. It's tough to find good handlebars for a gravel bike conversion. These make that conversion. They're big and give you wide drops (but don't increase your reach). They aren't perfect, certainly; the drops are a little too far apart for comfortable graveling. They give you lots of grip options, though, and let you drop into a deep tuck for high power when you want it.I'm setting up the indie drops on another of my bikes, inboard of my shifters and brakes. With luck the original mountain handlebars will be long enough...UPDATE: I removed these from my bike. I wanted very much to like them, but I could never find quite the right grip so they were always a little less than comfortable. I went back to a conventional, but very long, bar.

Very nice handlebars. Definitely wider than I expected, and they do make the bike look a bit goofy and unwieldy. However, with so many grip positions it's has really elevated my riding experience. Love the feel of a flat bar and the ability to lean in if I want to. The wideness is actually kind of cool when you start riding and realize how many different grip positions and angles you have. One really neat position is to put your elbows into the bends at the sides and lean way forward. Works great at high speed! Love that I can use trigger shifters with these. Very lightweight, not much different from what they replaced. Sturdy too.

Dimension and thickness seem good! The description was correct and everything is going good for the moment.I reccomend to put some oil for insert the sponge covers and a 130mm stem at least.

Installation facile sur mon VTT, je peux désormais prendre plusieurs postures dont une moins couchée que j'apprécie beaucoup (sollicite moins les bras et casse moins le cou).

The straight handlebars that came stock on my Giant Escape 2 hybrid bike were fine. However, I enjoy really long rides and my wrists would get tired and often fall asleep with the constant pressure as I was always leaning forward. After a lot of research, I decided to try these out to see if they would help, and they do. The closer grips bring me into a more upright position, lessening the weight I put on my wrists. It's not completely upright, like a cruiser, but it is definitely more comfortable.Installation was pretty easy. I took photos of all of the brake and shifter positions before I disassembled everything. A few hex wrenches and 10 minutes later I had the old handlebar and controls off. At first I tried to brute-force the foam grips onto the bars, but after about 6" they wouldn't budge anymore. After a quick YouTube search, I saw that the easiest way to get these on is to put soapy water on the inside of the tubes and on the bars. Once I did that, they slid on pretty easily and into place. The new handlebars fit perfectly. It took a little bit of trial and error to figure out the best angle for me. I wanted to have 4 comfortable positions: 1) nearly-upright with brakes and shifters. 2) Hands on the side grips, for being out of the saddle and going uphill and giving the feel of drop handlebars 3) thumbs in the top corners for a grip similar to being on the hoods of drop handlebars. 4) hands on the far grips, with forearms resting comfortably on the near grips, if I needed to get more aerodynamic. Good news is I was able to achieve all of these.I got the bars on a Wednesday, installed them that evening, and then took my bike out Thursday for about 25 miles, writing my review on Friday. In the short time I've had them so far, I like them and they're working well for me. I'm looking forward to some nice comfortable long rides in my future.Pros: They are super-light weight, I was surprised. Precision manufactured. Comfortable.Cons: Foam grip installation was not intuitive. The metal flexes, ever-so-slightly. Time will tell if this becomes a problem. I've seen these kinds of bars for about the $20 price point a few years ago when I first looked, and I paid about $31 for them. Not sure if price of aluminum went up or what. Still a pretty good value.Bottom Line: I like them!
