  • The mini extruder is made of aluminum alloy metal material, and the gear material is made of quenched steel with a strength of 55, which can ensure that the filament will not damage the gear during long-term printing.
  • High temperature and heat resistance: The mini extrusion machine has good heating control ability, and the metal has thermal conductivity that can transmit heat from the motor. When the temperature does not exceed 25 degrees Celsius, there is no need to increase fan heat dissipation. When the temperature exceeds 25 degrees Celsius, it can be considered to increase fan heat dissipation.
  • Superb workmanship: The mini extruder uses a double-geared structure to avoid damaging consumables and promote the stability of the feed, and the metal has a strength and precision not available in the plastic housing.
  • Compatibility and universality: MINI extruder compatible with CR-10/4S/5S/MINI, CR10S, CR-20 suitable for most FDM printers.
  • Packaging: a mini extruder

Product does not come assembled. You have to put it together yourself. Not a big deal, but all the pictures show it assembled.

I really love this extruder. I was really worried about swapping this out with my stock extruder for this review. I am pleasantly surprised. Let's just say this one is staying in and my OEM is going to be my backup. A little work to get it installed and working but nothing that a 3D printing person doesn't deal with. Great quality, well made. I would buy again.

I wasted months of time with the creality sprite SE extruder that was specially made for the ender 3 neo series. As soon as I got this on and my e steps tuned, my print quality on my v1 neo quickly improved and is now similar to the quality I get from my bambu lab a1 mini.I'm so glad I found this extruder. I had to design my own mount for it to fit the neo but if I can do it I know you can too

This worked great as a replacement for my CR-10 and was a 1 for 1 fit. This had no issues getting me back up and running smoothly and quickly. The new extruder works great and was my first replacement in almost 2 years of owning this, so it was needed. The extra high temp with this and the copper plating seems to make heating times MUCH less, and keeps the temp easier. I'm looking forward to running other types of filaments with this now that the hot end can handle it a bit easier, such as carbon fiber.

My old extruder has seen better days, and was borderline done, this replacement was perfect for my ender 3 s1, just unscrew the old one and screw this one back on, set the thermistor and tighten the set screw, plug it back in and do a calibration test..!!!! Highly Recommend!!!

The sherpa mini direct drive extruder is a nice upgrade to your. It works well and is not too difficult to install. I installed one on my voron and love it. The dual gear filament drive is much more reliable than a single gear driven extruder. It is made from all aluminum which makes it lightweight and very strong. This is a great choice for an upgraded extruder on your printer and I highly recommend it.

Upon opening the box, the first thing I noticed was that it was almost all metal, and still very light. The extruder motor is on the small side, so it might be an issue if aiming for high flow or high speed printing, but I haven't noticed any issues so far in the 10-15 mm^3/s range that I've been testing it.I started by printing an adapter for this so it can fit the fan shroud/hotend on my (very customized) Ender 3 V2. Once that was printed it fit in pretty nicely, and I was able to plug it into my mainboard without issue. After getting it installed and calibrating the e-steps (I got a Rotation distance of ~ 4.15 in Klipper from my tests) most of my prints have turned out pretty good. A flowrate test topped out at about 16mm^3/s but I think that's more down to the PLA and temperature I was testing, rather than the extruder itself.Overall, it's a decent extruder, especially if you want something very light, but still strong. I did ran into a few issues that kept me from giving it a full 5 stars, however.- Motor wires are not twisted or braided together at all, so any slack or looseness in the cable causes them to separate and be at risk of snagging on something if not properly secured. My previous extruder had them all separate but twisted together so they wouldn't pull apart easily.- No way to secure a reverse bowden tube - The top will fit a reverse bowden tube just fine, but there's no way to attach a collet or bowden coupler, so it very often pushes out with the filament when I retract. This isn't a big deal, but would be nice if there was some way to secure it properly- VFAs (vertical fine artifacts)- I can't conclusively say it's the extruder, but a lot of the test prints I've made had more prominent VFAs on them than I had noticed with this filament before. It's not the worst I've seen, and printing at higher speeds does help a bit, but it might be down to the extruder or the gears in some way.
