This is not a drop in replacement for broan 663/668, the plate is at least an inch shorter on each of the sides and the motor/fan assembly is way different than the broan so I can't even take it out and put it in the other one. As such, this is unusable for me. Giving it 1 star as this simply does not work for the intended purpose.

This bathroom fan replacement was a solid choice for upgrading the ventilation in my bathroom. fit perfectly in my existing housing. Installation was straightforward—just remove the old unit, pop in the new one, and you’re good to go.The 50 CFM airflow is effective at clearing out steam and odors quickly, keeping the bathroom fresh and preventing humidity buildup. the noise level is low enough to be unobtrusive, which is a nice improvement over my old, noisy fan.For the price, it’s an affordable and efficient option for anyone looking to replace or upgrade their bathroom exhaust fan. It gets the job done well and improves both air quality and comfort in the space. Definitely worth considering!

I have a much older model of Nutone Fan which replacement fans have been harder to find as the years go on. The Fan fit my 695 model just fine. I tried another fan and it was the wrong size, too big. This fan was a little short on one side about 1/4in and a little tape fixed that. This fan is more quiet and works well. Good Buy.

Initially, I believed that I had to replace the entire bathroom fan, including the mounting box. However, further research revealed that I only needed to replace the fan/motor. The model I purchased was advertised as a suitable replacement for the 696N-R02, which I own, and the swap was incredibly straightforward. To ensure a proper fit, I slightly bent the metal tabs outward and secured it with some tape, although the tape was probably unnecessary. The new fan, rated at 2 Sones, is significantly quieter than the old 4 Sone model, making it a much-appreciated upgrade from the 15-year-old fan. I'm very satisfied with the purchase and plan to buy more for the other bathrooms.
